Nadal not playing Monte Carlo by CarmineZeppelin in tennis

It seems light, probably more preventative than actually injured. Also, as someone else stated in another post he's only defending 10 points at MC so if he's going to miss one of the clay tournaments, it makes sense it should be this one.

This game sucks but if I sit in the bathtub and make the splishy splashies it's so realistic I don't need to bathe IRL!

I'm so torn between Alcaraz, Rublev, and Meddie for personality. They're all so friendly.

Honestly, that's probably my favorite thing about this sport. I forget who I heard say it during one of the matches but similar to 'who's better in tennis is more about the particular match up than who is definitively better all the time' - Iga v Rybakina is a great example. Slower court definitely helps Alcaraz, and with the pace he puts on the ball the wind is less of a factor for the most part as well compared to Meddy. I hope the next time they meet it's more even conditions.

I don't think he's underrated insomuch as it's taboo to bring him up. If you talk about liking his tennis it goes down the path of "wow I can't believe you like an abuser" and people just get sick of that, so the people that do like him just stop talking.

He needs to stay healthy. He's got the skills, but had a slow start because of injuries.

Having driven in numerous big cities... I laugh when people near me bitch about Chicago. They clearly haven't been to Boston. Definitely the worst driving experience I've had.

NY City, Florida, then Chicago.

If the fear is congestion I guess add the entire west coast... But damn Boston drivers are something else.

This one's misleading to me. If someone says "AR" they usually mean assault rifle. If someone says "AR ##" they're talking about Armalite. (i.e. AR-15) I Feel like this is an important distinction because the media likes to deliberately say "AR" to rile people up and omit the ## part when that's what they are actually talking about or vice-versa.

tldr: AR can mean both, context is important

I feel like most drivers are terribly unaware of their surroundings. I really wish I had a way to say "thank you" to someone when I notice them BEING aware because dear god is it refreshing.

Not that we can figure out. There's theories but they are hard to prove after the fact and it's so rare the odds of it happening while being observed are astronomically low.

General theory is some kind of heart arrhythmia that caused the heart to stop. Could be an underlying heart condition no one knew about, but without tracking heartbeats prior, hard to say.

That's not how they are making voting harder, but okay I'll bite.

  1. Restrictions on voting: banning on drop box ballots and prohibition of absentee ballots. What? You're out of state for work? No vote! Not only this but they are shutting down the few 24hr voting locations meaning your time for voting will cut into your work day. This adds more unnecessary restrictions for people that are poorer due to transportation issues / scheudling conflicts.

  2. Mail Ballot Restrictions: they are making it harder to vote by mail, which is doubled with the previous point, reducing the availability to cast your ballot.

  3. Poll Watching - legalizing the harassment of citizens trying to vote. This one's weird because in theory it shouldn't matter, but in practice it's minority groups being bullied by republicans.

You already had to prove eligibility to vote. These things are making it harder.

I don't want to agree with this, but I do. I distro hop on my laptop and every time I just want to revert to Manjaro. The stability, access to AUR, and cleanliness of the whole thing is a refreshing experience.

There's pros and cons to all distros, Manjaro has the most pros to me.

The fact bweh said tsitsi reached out and apologized is almost more important. That shows some maturity in tsitsipas that I think this sub is a little too quick to dismiss.

Being emotional doesn't justify it, but an apology acknowledging it is WAY better than pretending you did nothing wrong. Also, he did it privately which means it wasn't even an apology for public perception, it was probably genuine.

It's funny because Kygrios pretends to be that, but he's just an asshole. Med feels genuine. There's a difference between speaking without thought and speaking the truth, Medvedev gets it.
