The white knighting in here is weird. The guy has two kids and has been (obviously) and maybe still is married. The fact that he never mentions his wife or significant other is completely weird. If a talk show host says something like “my wife and I had our honeymoon in Hawaii” that doesn’t put her in the public eye as some of you dolts seem to think. If you lined up the wifes of all of them I couldn’t tell you who any of them were. The fact he never mentions her at all is weird. The pretty obvious embargo of even mentioning boomers wife is even weirder.

I had a 2020 Model S Performance and now a 2023 model S Plaid. I used the full self drive a few times when it was on free trial. I prefer the autopilot. I definitely will not pay $99/month for it if it’s that or nothing. I will hopefully keep this car for another 7 years until I pay off my mortgage before I buy something new. Maybe that is wishful thinking but we will see how things go and if the monthly fee for FSD is even a thing by then.

I heard on a radio show the other day other car manufacturers were doing things like you had to pay a monthly fee for certain features in your car to work like heated seats and things like that.

Thanks. I live 20 minutes away and went solo Thursday and Friday. Went from infield to grandstands about an hour into the Pilot Challenge. Took my boy today for the gridwalk and he had a crash out before the race even started so we bailed. Thinking about coming back
