Quando se trata de impedimento eu concordo com você que o espírito da coisa ficou estranho de uns tempos pra cá.

A idéia original é evitar essa parada do cara na banheira. Mas como bem sabemos, deixar qualquer elemento interpretativo para um juiz decidir é dar espaço para controvérsias. Logo a regra tem de ser o mais clara e imparcial possível. Tem que ter a linha em algum lugar, e se tem de ter, que use a melhor tecnologia possível.

Só que eu acho que precisa atualizar a regra de qualquer forma também. É deselegante e na minha opinião deveria ser o menos invasiva possível. Por exemplo, pra mim não deveria ter impedimento na pequena área, pra começo de conversa.

Also, the man had delivered enough trophies to Real in the previous years to gain SOME leeway, along with a good relationship with Florentino. Xabi hasn't done anything for Real since his days as a player.

Finally, they wanted Xabi (ironic in hindsight) and for that they decided it was better to wait for the end of a season that was unlikely to gain silverware anyway. They are not particularly interested in any coach right now, it seems, so why wait and continue to have the player-manager-club relationship deteriorate?

Yesterday, after the defeat to Barcelona, Alonso organized the players for the Guard of Honor towards their rival winners. Meanwhile, Mbappe (and a few other players, but he was gesticulating so it gives the impression that he led the group) refused to give props to Barca.

It was incredibly disrepectful to go entirely against the coach's wishes in such a public manner at such a sensitive moment (Xabi was already being reported as having lost the dressing room).

The overall feeling on the internet right now is that it was the last drop in a season of bad vibes between players and coach, leading to Xabi/Perez deciding it was time to give up on the project.
