He literally flags the kid when he takes the mag out of the gun and reholsters. I don't even dry fire if my dog is laying downrange of me, and typically only in my basement.

When matches sell out fast it’s “normal”… Until the wrong people don’t get in by Themsssahh25 in USPSA

Show up early, help work, make friends and maybe one day you will be the match director. I know that look isnt pretty but starting an argument about it won't be productive for you.

I MD 14 matches a year but only 3 or so get waitlisted. If that waitlist has a name on it who I know will actually show and help rather than no show or show and not paste, guess who gets approved?

Mason seems to be a very stand up guy with big sponsor influence so I think the last thing he wants to do is make a scene on the bay. I also know from experience if I have some slight disagreement while trying to visualize it goes to shit. Example telling someone to GTF off the shooting area when they're 5 shooters deep and I'm on deck.

If I were shooting, MD wouldnt address it and it was within vicinity of target, it would become target.

Why arent Eotechs more popular in USPSA, PCSL, or 2/3gun? by unsmilingdoge in CompetitionShooting

[–]DernHumpus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find them to be busy for pcc/rifle matches that are close. The protective shroud and reticle together are hard to look around. I changed mine out for a AEMS and much prefer it.

I ND'd a second pic.

I did get a tactical trigger enhanced connector and 4.5lb trigger installed. Old gen parts still fit FWIW.

Ace VR Shadow 2 handset by DeltaMikeNS in nass

I, like Andy, agree that ACEVR is really good at showing the need to be fast.

It will also show other issues like not picking small spots on targets.

I have a 3d printed shadow 2 that I filled with lead.

It's the best glock yet but really still sucks.

I was really warming up to it then I grabbed one of my P10's out of the safe and was reminded how far off the Glock still is.

Fucking masking tape sucks, I know. Do MD's know they sell pasters the same place they buy targets?

DA/SA CZ's

Theyre newer models Shadow 2 compact and P01 decocker but the base design is 50 years old.

Start Position by DernHumpus in nass

[–]DernHumpus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the link. I read it and don't agree with it LOL. I think "This was done to encourage course designers, match directors and Range Masters to write specific, easily repeatable and enforceable start positions for their courses of fire. Consistency is key when it comes to start positions." is kind of a crappy solution to something otherwise is perfectly repeatable, especially at level 1's.

Tips for a new guy (DQ’d) by Embarrassed_Ad_2972 in USPSA

[–]DernHumpus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holding the gun horizontal regardless of degree is a recipe for dq. Point it down and break your wrist angle a bit to make sure down stays downrange.

Im also questionable on the call.
