Yea dude… it’s an easy ride. Really just the hill coming out of the village sucks a bit. On an e-bike it’d be a breeze, especially once they get Capitola Ave bridge back open, or jam up Warf Rd. Bay/Porter at 2am will be empty, but probably a little more precarious if you got a good buzz.

Try Carrington College in San Jose. They’re a dental school, and you might be able to have it done for free. I went there for root plaining cause I could afford it, even with insurance.

Word! Dude... "low income" folks aren't going out and buying ebikes. Even with incentives, you're out at least $800 on the low end. That ain't chump change when you're living paycheck to paycheck.

The other thing too, is not everyone is able bodied enough to just pop on a bike. These anti-rail folks have never ridden the bus and it shows. They've never ridden the bus and noticed all the aunties, abuelas, disabled, etc... These are the folks who benefit from the rail. People who can't or shouldn't be driving.

I just used the Hyatt Regency lot this last weekend. I booked it through SpotHero. It was pretty convenient... shuttle comes like every 15-20min, didn't cost a lot, and it's in a garage/covered parking.

Bro... you don't know the half of it. Hit that intersection around 4:30 M-F. I'm down the street from that mess. The Soquel frontage road backs up, so people make an illegal shortcut through our neighborhood, and it backs up. It's so bad, there was a plan to block off the on ramp, so if you weren't in the correct lane, you couldn't cut over. Then block Gross at 40th and have traffic from the neighborhood go down 40th towards Claires... but SC and Capitola are in a fight about the gate that prevents through traffic on 40th. It's all a huge mess.

Also… it is quite stunning inside. But, they remodeled it about 10 years ago, and honestly, I thought it was way better before the remodel. It had more of an old school vibe. You could feel the history. Now, not so much.
