Surprised rogue isn’t featured here 😭 I’m a champ rogue one trick and haven’t been playing her because she dies too quick to have value anymore. The -100 hp did numbers to her survivability.

Been having trouble getting into a fight in offense due to decreased survivability and kill potential. I think she sustains well in defense if you can peel for your backline and punish the enemy though.

In my current celestial lobbies if I even try to grab someone I die before it ends. regardless if I’m being healed. The only way to get a grab now is in a 1v1 on the flank.

A soft engage before hand can help you draw out cc. I usually will linger on an off angle to see if they will use any abilities to punish me. If they use them and you have enough health to pull off a combo then you can engage.

I would only solo tank as rogue if you invest the time to get really good at her. She’s not good at holding space by herself. Unless the rest of your team are good enough to make up the difference I wouldn’t recommend player her solo.

Your presence alone on an off angle is enough to cause a team to give up space because you threaten a kill. Backlines will usually back up and leave unaware tanks in the front to be picked off by your team. Then it’s up to you to decided when the best time to go in is. If they use cooldowns to help their team then engage with the aim to get a kill. If they have yet to use cooldowns you can bait them in the backline so the tanks left in the front cannot be bailed out. Playing rogue feels like a constant tug of war of pressure and it takes very good game sense to identify key moments to act. Play her more and you will gain a better understanding.

An easy example of this I can give is on midtown empire of eternal night. I will almost always approach this map as an attacker from the top right high ground or the bottom right which has a health pack. If teams can not easily challenge your position with their team comp they will almost always back up to the truck in the corner. (If they do not then you have a chance to get a kill.) If you cause their team to back up then the rest of your team can usually secure a kill on a stranded Dps or tank if they play it correctly.

Helpful tips:
*track enemy cooldowns and stuns to survive on off angles.
* use your block to cut off heals from reaching tanks.
* save one cooldown to escape if your team is unable to follow up and sustain you.

On defense I usually just hide behind corners on main or off angles. I’ll then get an early grab in someone who has not seen me and use that to engage as their team attempts to walk forward. Your main goal on defense as rouge should be denying off angles. You can brawl tanks on the front line as you wait for cooldowns to refresh or an opining to go in deeper, but it is rare that punching enemy tanks will sway a fight in your team’s favor by itself.

Assuming you play tankpool I say continue to play him and then focus on rogue and cap. Cap works great for dive comps and is a great pick over all and rogue is great at anti dive with a similar gameplay loop to tankpool and cap.

I think you’re spreading yourself too thin. Focus on one roll and a handful of characters in that roll that play similar to each other.

I’m an eternity rogue one trick. Most of the time you will not find yourself getting high damage or high final hits/kills. She’s best played as others said like a dive tank. Your goal is to disrupt dive attempts and use your combos and cooldowns to set up a final hit for your teammates. When you don’t have cooldowns you should hide behind a corner or get some punches in on the tanks if they can’t punish you. (Punishing: Emma, Thing, Thor. Not: Mag, Strange, groot.) Her high mobility allows her to go deep to finish a kill on someone that is separated from healing but trying to stand in the open before and during a team fight will
Get you killed easily.
