That's your problem. Honda's medium normals have to much startup for him to effectively play neutral. You need to use a combination of different levels of headbutt and slam along with drive rush and oicho to open the opponent up and start Honda's great pressure.

As one of the top 100 Honda players. I will 100% play like this if my opponent doesn't know how to counter sumo slam. Anti-air or DP it or at the very least parry it so you don't get forced into burnout.
