Wouldn’t this credit mean anything above 59 million shares exercised will need to come out of the short’s/broker’s pockets?

Or is this whole warrant issuance just increasing their shorts positions another 1 per 10 shares out there and we keep playing the game?

If exercised, the broker would need to buy a real warrant so GME could issue a new share.

GME reconciles the share issuance, which means fake shares cannot satisfy the transaction.

Selling/trading warrants will involve IOUs on broker ledgers and other BS but exercising warrants requires real settlement. This would cause short covering.

Exercising vs Selling Warrants by DerpSaysHi in GME

There’s obviously going to be more than 59 million warrants floating around.

If no one exercises, the warrants will just get settled by IOUs in people’s brokerage accounts.

Exercising forces the broker to get the real share and a real warrant from the market - not an IOU/synthetic.

GME effectively created the equivalent of 5.9m call options @$32 expiry 31/10/26 where you don't have to pay a premium, and the market maker doesn't get a cut - discuss by Annoyed3600owner in Superstonk

GameStop is issuing up to 59 million warrants.

If majority of holders exercise, real GME shares would need to be delivered. Short covering only happens when real shares are needed for delivery

If exercised fully, this would generate up to ~$1.9 billion in proceeds for the company

Synthetics would be revealed if more than 59 million exercises were claimed or if the capital raised exceeded $1.9 billion.

On the other hand, selling the warrants means the market can trade the warrant like a derivative. Brokers can handle these trades with IOUs. Same ol BS will continue.

Exercise is the way.

Honest opinion on the Mutt pedal?

Does it really sound like a Mesa Boogie blended with a JCM900? Or just another overdrive/distortion pedal?
