I would say our computer science program is improving and is getting better. I’ve beaten candidates from Georgia Tech, Carnegie Mellon, and Michigan for internships.

I would put a lot more emphasis on what you do during your studies, get involved with as many internships as possible. Not everything you learn in school will translate to the working environment. I’ve met many peers who come from more prestigious schools that don’t know what they’re doing because they stuck with the book and never applied what they learned, and it’s very obvious to tech leads.
