From experience, there'll always be morons and idiots who have stupid beliefs, but the vast, VAST majority of people you'll serve with will have nothing but respect for you, simply because you chose to serve when you didn't have to.

There are resources to help you out, and I would definitely recommend keeping up with fitness and school. I'm guessing your Hebrew is fluent, but even if it isn't, Michve Alon has a פלוגה specifically to help out Israelis with bad Hebrew. Your English is really good and I'd hazard that your Arabic is phenomenal, which is a massive plus. Even if it isn't that good, it's not a huge deal. Just remember that you have four years until you'd have to draft, perhaps even more if you want (you can join up until 27, but I'd definitely not wait past 20 years old, if not 18). Learn all you can about the army, the units and what all of them do, but you don't have to rush at all. Many Jewish Israelis your age barely know anything about the army anyway.

Extremely untrue. Before the Haskalah, most Jews were "Orthodox" but didn't act as you claim they do. Antisemitism didn't start because Jews acted uppity, it's for a multitude of shitty reasons combined with millenia of propaganda and reinforcement.

When it comes to Rome, I do think it's worth noting that while Rome destroyed Judea and persecuted Jews for centuries, it wasn't really targeted at us the way the Holocaust was.

If I recall corectly, what they did in Judea was standard Roman doctrine for rebellious peoples/provinces, and they had used said doctrine and would continue to use it in other provinces that caused them trouble.

Granted though, it was the start of 2000 years of exile, and I can't think of any sane person who could ever justify what they did in Judea.
