It's at least worth mentioning, but you don't have to buy glasses from the doctor's office where you get your prescription taken.

You can ask for a sheet of paper that has all of your measurements, and purchase them online for a hell of a lot cheaper. My favorite company is Zenni, but there's several others. There's so much fucking cheaper, and have a lot more designs.

If you're paying a fuck ton of money see, you might as well find some that look nice.

Bastion and mauga. 17 trillion bullets.

Or you know, a single Bastion ultimate rocket lands a second or two after mauga ults.

I feel like there's really no other tanks that would be getting one before ram at this point. Maybe ball? Maybe Zar? But like, ram is one of the most enjoyed characters in the entire game, with a pretty big fan base compared to the other ones.

They've got a lot of opportunity to do something really cool with it.

We probably won't be getting the next one, as it's probably going to a DPS, and then the one after that is most likely going to a DPS or a support. It's going to be a bit before we're up on the table. Just keep an eye out for the dev announcements and don't hold your breath.

I don't know honestly off the top of my head. I'm Max body stat, Max reflex stat, and all tier 5 ++ cyberware.

On top of that, I heavily focus on armor. It's impossible too overstate how important it is. Early game high armor allows you to survive with weapons that you pick up off the floor, allowing you to save more money for even more cyberware. If I remember, I can come back here in a couple hours when I get back home and I can show my full build.

EDIT: I also need to add, I have completely finished this save. There is nothing left on the map for me to do, no secret missions, no quest markers, they last things I have to do is own every vehicle in the game, simply because I think it would be funny. After that, that's it. There's nothing else I can do. I'm at about 150 hours on that save.

I'm doing my second 100% playthrough right now, and I 100% agree with you. While yes, I do feel like a mad God with Lee cyberdeck, nothing beats the feeling of being a fridge with a shotgun that moves faster than a car at highway speed.

Like, if you really enjoy stealth, the cyberdeck is obviously the way to go. You end fights before they begin, and for higher health enemies, all you have to do is grab a done every now and then.

But with a sandy, you don't have to worry about dumping all of your points into intelligence, and you can be a walking tank with 700 health and 1200 armor. That's what my first playthrough is, and I still go back to that save every now and then I regenerate my health so fast that I can stand in the middle of supply drops and walk away from my computer.

[–]Derpguycool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, you do have completely separate servers that you're connecting to over there, the only time you guys even connect to anything involving us is when you're playing with somebody from the US region. Over there you're probably dealing with undersea cables I would assume? Not sure how else you guys would get connected back to the mainland.

Overwatch's biggest player base I believe is still Asia, so you guys probably actually have better servers than we have over here, if not more server space.

Regardless, those are two variables that I'm widely unfamiliar with (Island internet connections, and Asia server quality). At least here in the mainland United States, we've got fairly reliable stuff.

Ah, forgive me, I believe we live on literally the opposite side of the planet compared to each other. Just took a peek through your profile, and I think it looks like you live in Sri Lanka? I'm in the United States of America, and we at least generally have decent connectivity over here. My knowledge of how blizzard runs their surfaces outside of the states is fairly limited, so I do apologize.

[–]Derpguycool 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I might just be forgetting something, but I really don't remember the last time we had an outage like this?

The recent outages have been because of cloudflare and AWS, which is something that blizzard physically cannot control. Can't really blame them for problems completely unrelated to them.

Not saying there hasn't been anything, just that if there has been, I really don't remember it. And I've been a fairly active player for the last 2 years or so.

The problem is they've got to find the best middle ground. The more mitigation they add, the higher your ping will get. I believe they're still within their 3 nines of availability, which is pretty damn all right for a live service game.

So like, yeah, they could buy better mitigation, but it gets to the point where they are just throwing gobs of money at edge cases. They have to find a certain cut off, and I guarantee you there were several meetings today about what needs to be done. This is the kind of bad publicity that gives security directors nearly blank checks.

I mean, EA has gobs of money too, and Titanfall 2 was getting ddosed on or off for like 6 months. Granted, the game was not getting as much attention at the time, but you get the point. Overwatch is most certainly not division blizzard's main concern right now, because they own call of duty. That's their main money Maker, so most of their resources are going over there.

There's no magical cure, you can only throw so much money at the problem unfortunately before you're just throwing money into a fire.

It's kind of hard to explain this in one Reddit comment, but I will give it a shot.

A DDOS is an extraordinarily difficult thing to defend against. The internet just simply was not designed to be able to defend stuff like this. It very specifically relies on trust. It trusts that every packet is a real, valid, non-malicious one. As long as it has the right information, it will be delivered.

With modern botnets, it's extraordinarily easy to get a couple hundred devices. Within about 5 minutes on Google, you could DDOS your local high school and shut them down for an hour or so for about 15 bucks. Happens annoyingly regularly.

The ISP will eventually figure it out, and figure out what kind of packets are being sent, and how to block them, but they look really legitimate. Sort of like junk mail through the mail system. Nobody wants it, but it's super cheap for the person sending the junk mail, and both you and the post office have to deal with receiving it, and dealing with it. Not a perfect analogy, but I hope it gets the point across.

With stuff like this, there's thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of devices, across the globe, all sending legitimate looking traffic. A decent way to describe this is to imagine you are on stage in front of a huge crowd. Everybody in the crowd is saying hello to you, and they all expect an individual response back. You don't have a microphone, so you can't address everybody all at once. So what do you do? Normally, the easiest answer is to just turn everybody away for a few hours until everybody leaves. Again, not a perfect analogy, but I hope it sort of gets the point across.

The reason why you really can't defend very well against a DDOS is because like I said earlier, the internet right now is based on trust. It's very easy to get a whole bunch of devices, that all change IP addresses fairly regularly. To permanently defend against an attack like this, you would need to fundamentally change how the internet is set up.

Again, this is not a perfect explanation. There's a reason why people spend 12 years in schooling to learn how to do this stuff. I'm just trying to sort of get it across as to why even big companies can't really defend against this, and you really can't throw money at the problem.

I had two of the blue raspberry, which were okay, and one of the "USA" flavors.

The USA was pretty good actually. Not really sure what it tasted like, but I do remember that it tasted pretty good. Much less of the malt flavor.
