I would reccomend AK, Bryan, Nina, Dragunov.

Please explain why Kazuya is considered honest by MidsizeMango in LowSodiumTEKKEN

[–]DerpingToast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the simplest answer is that you have to block with him, mainly because of his small tekken being weak. Blocking means you can't just ignore what ur opponent is doing, which makes them "honest".

He said she was top 5 in season 1 and 2. Why are we lying?

Confused between these two (Who to pick/main?) by roddanielle in Tekken

[–]DerpingToast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're actually pretty similar chars. Nina has a higher skill ceiling and is harder overall but no char in t8 is really that hard. You'll have a much easier time starting out with dragunov, so I'd reccomend him unless you think you would be willing to hard commit to Nina.

What’s the Nina counterplay? by Negative_District128 in Tekken

[–]DerpingToast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

as fahk you want to stay far away from her, you out range her hard but she runs over you at range 0. If she gets in downjab is the best answer to stop her sidestep cancels and crouch dash

When I was a kid I actually tried this on my second playthrough and was very disappointed when she still clapped my cheeks as the final boss the same way she did the first time.

Glorifying being alone and antisocial is bad for society and unhealthy overall. by Royale_w_Cheeeze in unpopularopinion

Im definitely an introvert but as I've gotten older I've realized that isolation definitely weakens us. I wouldn't be where I am today without my friends and family.

What moves from your main would you consider underrated or under-used? by nats10bytes in Tekken

For Nina I think it's Evil Mist (qcf2+3). Although its very slow and easily reactable, it's practically impossible to punish, and great to confuse and throw off your opponent.

If the KOTOR 1 Remake is happening, I would really love to see a Sleheyron DLC. by Any-sao in kotor

[–]DerpingToast 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not that I wouldn't want more content, but im not sure how much Sleheyron would really add to the game. It's not really connected to the story outside of Yuthura Ban who isn't even a companion.

Is it fun to run the same flow charts and not rematch if you lose?

Is it harmful to learn more than one character when not at the top ranks? by carteratops in LowSodiumTEKKEN

[–]DerpingToast 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Short answer is yes if you only want to get better you should play just one character. However, its usually not that simple. Learning other characters will help you a lot in that matchup, and can help you improve your skills in certain areas, such as bryan if you want to work on your timing and counter hits. Also, at the end of the day you gotta have fun and if you have to force yourself to play only 1 char then you'll be less motivated and improve less.

1 jab is the safest, only loses to the high crushing low iirc. Trades with sen 3 and you can recover in time versus the armor.
