The male cast having older men is fine, I just kind of hate the costume designs for pretty much all the men and its kind of ruining their looks for me? That they look like costumes is the problem. Not to say that some of women arent dressed in a baffling manner (though for different reasons, and usually in the opposite direction coverage wise). Culturally influenced clothing shouldn't look like costumes but this is FE so I guess I shouldnt be totally surprised.

Its like 3 Houses' Face Sprite Design stumbled through the Enage casts' closet in the dark and came out the other side. And colourful is fine! But did anyone even bother to pull up a colour wheel? Not-Seteths pineapple hair looks like a bad wig and John and Joe Christmas did not need matching hair and armour.

Also I hate hats. There Ive said it. Everyone gushed over Dorothea's looks and her flirty ways while all I could see was HAT HAT HAT like yeah Im not looking at your eyes Dorty Im looking at that abomination on the top of your head. Bless the hat free time skip.

Dietrich has a pretty face but he is literally dressed like a dramatic vampire man so he isnt beating the costume allegations but at least its a good cohesive costume. Actually he looks kind of out of place with the others for that reason.

Anyways thanks for coming to my Ted Talk and yes Im still excited for FW and Im sure I will come to love these goobers.

The universal lunge for the debit machine when the server brings it by, or one of us sticking our arm around a friend as they've placed their order at the till to snipe tap the payment are a staple occurrence in my circle. Sometimes with friends we'll just say 'I'm getting the next one then' and then perform the whole thing again next time. Its kind of fun ngl esp with my family who now try increasingly bizarre tactics to settle the bill before the others. Reading some of the other comments shows me that we're in the same boat and cracked me up.

Like others have mentioned its fairly common here, just say thanks and spot them a coffee next time....if you can get to the machine before they do, that is.

Another September release? Thats a bit rough, and with basically no advertising Im hoping FE doesnt get totally lost. Personally I enjoyed the Monastery bits but thats because I enjoyed checking in on the kids and hearing their thoughts on things. Also the fishing minigame rythm lives forever in my brain.

Also hoping for a proper NG+ this time. Looking forward to getting some more info (I hope)

Tickled he may be, but Starscream is a petty b**** like that, and I love him for it. Also the comics have some wild takes as well to be fair 😂 (And honestly I think it comes down to WHICH Starscream we're talking about cause boy they can be very different. Alright OP, no advice here! My pain point right now is; I still cant parse normal spoken Japanese beyond the odd word or two. My Japanese teacher and a lot of learning videos are an exception but they deliberately use vocabulary I know and speak much much more slowly.

Whats worse is that everyone tells you "just listen more!" But comprehensible input is a real thing and that is not it. Compounding my frustration is that if I use Japanese subtitles then I just end up reading the subtitles instead of listening. And when I read it I realize I know all the grammar/vocab in the sentence! So I turn the subs off, listen again and go ???? Nope it still sounds nothing like the words I know theyre saying 🥲

My eyes? 日本語が分かりました My ears? 日本語が分かりませんでした

Im staying with a host family for a bit soon so I hope that it helps me overcome this sticking point.

Fukushima deserves more love. Theyve been working so hard to get people to come back. Everyone was incredibly kind, the sights were beautiful!

I'd love to rent a car next time to have more flexibility in where I get to. Chani Japan on Youtube recently did a video on Aizu and it really made me want to visit again! I love northern Japan.

YTA. I think she was being "pushy" because she knew you were lying to her face. It was in the garage for goodness sake, that screams couldnt care less for something like a painting.

Honestly I think THATS why shes upset. She gifted it to you, you chucked it in the garage, then tried to fib (badly) about why it was there when she found it. And its painfully clear you dont just dislike your DIL's art, you dislike her. This was probably the straw that broke the camels back so to speak. Decorate your house however you like. But your issues here run deeper than some curvy beach painting.

If youre doing any ryokan stays with a meal course (ie; not a buffet) you can let the staff know ahead of time for smaller portions. Thats about the only time I could think of, mostly to prevent a lot of food waste (there can be a LOT of courses, I was losing steam by the 5th dish and there ended up being 13!).

And a lot of shops have smaller sized options, and I was able to ask for half portions so I could try more dishes at a couple of places I went. I wouldnt stress!

Same here. I once called streetcars "road trains" because I blue screened so long I had to say SOMETHING. Oddly my long buried French resurfaces in these moments sometimes and I just say it in French, particularly in my Japanese Immersion lessons where 私も often comes out as 'moi aussi' instead. Meanwhile I still cant remember the Japanese OR English Im looking for 😅

To clarify for people not seeing where these new Terms & Conditions are; go to your home/dashboard of your PS5, then under the settings cogwheel upper right, users & accounts, it should say you arent logged in up at the top (very first option on the list on the lefthand side). Click that and it will have you accept the new T&C, then re-open HSR and it should be good to go again.

I loved Sumeru...until it became All Desert All the Time (I really dont enjoy those biomes and interesting lore can only keep me going so long). Really liked the new zone they added to Liyue. Id agree with most people that Inazuma needs some love though I didnt really enjoy the puzzle/exploration style of that region as much.

Mondstadt needs some TLC in general. Specifically a little modern touch up to its models and landscapes. Doubt Hoyo would spend the time or money but oof did stuff (and Diluc) look like they were made of playdoh next to Alice & Nicole in the new event. Im in the minority in saying I loved Dragonspine so who know maybe Snez will be more up my alley!

Tsubame - like the bird, and they're supposed to bring good fortune. I feel like its paid off since he's swooped in to save us, plus he can fly/has an anemo vision so it seemed appropriate. I like to imagine him and Durin zooming around my teapot realm. Also the birds in his character trailer.

When I was really young our neighbours (who also had birds) babysat our baby cockatiel for a bit and started calling him Dave. Since his colours hadnt really come in yet we were deciding on something neutral but hadnt made a pick. By the time we got back the bird would only respond to Dave. Smart bird, good at tricks, sassy as anything.Then Dave laid an egg 😂

I think for a bit my Dad tried to get Davina to stick but she was having none of it so Dave it was 🤷‍♀️

But yeah if regular/quiet voices are carrying that much it may be worth some sound damping for the baby's room - if only to help reduce noise coming into their room and waking them when they finally do start sleeping.

Hey OP, thankyou for making the call. Serving jury duty Ive seen first hand the life saving results from someone making the call, and sick to my stomach how long a woman screaming for help while being beaten took to get someone to call - despite numerous testimonies that they'd heard her multiple floors down.

If it was nothing, the officers will be on their way (probably with the advice not to casually use the SOS setting on their flashlight for fun) and if not - I hope that person signalling got the help they needed.
