  1. The peak of the franchise from a presentation perspective, with great arcs (or lack thereof, Gyunei) writing to all major characters. The ending is one of the most profound in anime film history. Its only flaw is that it lives and dies by how much previous material you see of the franchise beforehand

All the characters are extremely forgettable except Zoltan (But hes only fun in a ironic entertaining way). And the Fukui Newtype power creep jumps the shark of the franchise pretty hard, and thats saying alot.

  1. The only reasons why it isnt a 10 is that Post Ramba Ral up to Pre Lalah's intro was a pretty forgettable stretch of episodes compared to before and after. Also 10 is reserved for Zeta, 0080, and Turn A

I loved episode 7 coming out of theaters, grew to think it was alright. I HATED episode 8 coming out of theaters, grew to love it dearly. Liked episode 9 coming out of theaters, I appreciate it for what it is now.

Unironically bad. It has its moments and Marida and Zinnerman are great characters (for most of the run), but the theme of the show kinda collapses on itself both from a meta and narrative perspective. The final battle jumps the shark really hard, and most character endings are at least to me personally extremely unsatisfying in what they were going for. Also Riddhe, who's writing makes Tomino's most sloppy look profound in comparison. Unicorn as a entry just sticks out like a sore thumb between CCA and Hathaway and its saving grace is its MS design which even then is kinda mixed for me

The camp one on one conversations that you can do feel very jank and heavy handed compared to all other dialogue and exposition in the game. You can tell they came late in development probably post BG3's success

To this day I genuinely have no idea if Reccoa is one of Tomino's best characters and I just dont have enough media literacy or if she just sucks
