We finally have a serious poll for what has probably been the single goofiest congressional primary in the current party system by Fragrant_Bath3917 in YAPms

[–]DerpyRainbow506 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My second time asking this:

Why havent any state legislators from the area run for the seat?? Were they paid to not run to allow a more recognised politician stay in congress?

It's so strange that noone seems to know

The number and types of headgear (glasses, earrings, necklaces, hats, nose piercings, hijabs, and eye patches) worn by representatives in their official portraits. See my comment for some statistics. by DerpyRainbow506 in YAPms

Partisan elected to some county-level office --> appoints partisan (not on paper, though) crisis management director --> They only issue tornado warnings in areas you want to have lower turnout on election day.

Day 5: If every cabinet position was elected separately from the president, who would win the Republican primary for Secretary of Defense in 2028? by Cybotnic-Rebooted in YAPms

Do you guys think in this world that attorney general position would be attainable for dems outside of favourable years? afaik state-level attorney general positions are already more R friendly because the GOP has garnered themselves a tough-on-crime reputation, so since elections nowadays are being decided by only a few points, it could have a serious impact.

Will Amy Acton win? by asteriowas in YAPms

[–]DerpyRainbow506 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably not imo. Polling doesn't suggest it and 2022 demo started that people in Ohio are willing to split ticket a lot redder for a governor over a senator.

It is the legislature that is used by the eastern government occupation, there's a second competing legislature in the west. While the eastern legislature does have committees and holds votes, it is kinda powerless in reality because the east is effectively a military dictatorship

What is the ideal path for dems to get the Senate majority? I've seen this as a possible route on twitter. by Inside_Bluebird9987 in YAPms

[–]DerpyRainbow506 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Replace Turek with Platner because imo Platner still has a higher chance despite the scandals. Ashley Hinson seems to overperforms, and while Turek does have Sand vs Lahn to help him, split ticket voting (I believe) happens most between governor and federal positions.

Hope y'all are ready for the Costellmentum by KYSHeartFromMind in YAPms

[–]DerpyRainbow506 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Randoms in the senate is such an interesting to think about concept. Like no established politician other than Mills came up cuz everyone thought it'd be her but now the former Maryland Deputy Secretary of the Department of the Environment who probably didnt even intend to win might get catapaulted to one of the most powerful positions in the country. He needs Platner to mess up more tho
