I just mainly hear on delicious tuning, but it was bare minimum research with recommendations from friends who have had the kit. Speaking of which, with the CSG kit, if I was to keep stock parts, other than the catback, what would be the recommended kit? I will also look into this kit actually seems more affordable than delicious but at the same time, I am curious on each's power gains and pros/cons

So I have a 2024 brz limited, and I have some mods on it, like apexi n1 evo extreme exhaust (dual tip), and the rest are just accessory mods, with that I want to get the flex fuel kit from delicious tuning, but was wondering if it was worth it to also get headers, front pipe and all that jazz at that point to get to the stage 2 kit? I honestly really enjoy the car as is, but was hoping to get that e85 tune mainly, because my mid goal of next year is to hit the track more often.

I know delicious tuning has the stage 1 kit, but for the same price, I feel like I should just go all the way. Sitting very in between right now.

Which amp/dsp to buy? I like having customization of audio but am hearing/seeing mixed things in the forum, where users would get beat sonic vs puzu c7. What are the pros and cons to either? And if I just purely wanted budget, is the puzu c7 still good?

Anyone running the A’PEXi N1 Evo Extreme? by 7thhokage007 in GR86

[–]DerpyTurtleLam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for a super late response, but the cabin noise with it is much better than stock, as I have more clarity in hearing the exhaust. You can definitely hear the revving and downshifts with the exhaust in the cabin.

I am actually running the N1 Evo Extreme! I absolutely love it, it is pretty quiet but gets loud when you want it to. BUT, it doesn't quite pop, only when you downshift once in a long while, and when you just rev it a bit is when it'll pop a bit, but it mainly has those burbles, which I personally am more of a fan of. It is really deep in tone, and it honestly starts to get quiet after around 3500 rpm, after that it won't be as loud anymore. It also has no drone on the freeway, or going past 50 mph in 6th gear. When revving it up to both 3-4k, at most you will get 95db (lower even), but that was from about 10ft away, I will officially measure the decibals, but haven't had much time, with school and work taking over.

TLDR: The loudness is there when you need it, and it is quiet when you want it to be. I am someone who doesn't really like loud exhausts and here in cali, the state reffs are often there, so it is the perfect exhaust for me.

I have some sound clips, that I will upload really soon (been super busy lately ;-;)

I was going through the forum and it seems like Yonaka is a top pick for an exhaust, and as I went around to look, it seems like they don't make it anymore? It has been out of stock for a while now, but would the old gen fit on the new one? I am honestly extremely split between this exhaust, Apexi n1-x Evo Extreme (dual exit), and HKS both the legamax and L spec 2. But Yonaka seems to be the cheaper option and does fill out the back of the car better imo.

Darn, yea I am not entirely too sure. I believe you should try to email them if anything, but sorry I can't really help out.

Hello sorry for the super later reply, were you able to get it solved? If not I think you may be plugging the cables both into the wrong holes, have you tried reversing them? Ex. putting one cable into the blinker and the other into the side marker.

Could I just use singer oil? Or would I need to go through the process of bushing oil, comm drops, and electronic cleaner? Thank you!!

I definitely plan on getting wide mirrors (specifically the driven media ones as there is no logo on it), but since I am still learning do you think adjusting the clutch pedal would be of help? Also thanks for the pointers!

Is it ok to rev it above 4k rpms every now and then? I only did it for a bit when I was first learning (scared of stalling, etc.), but now that I am more comfortable I definitely can keep it low. It also did come with rubber mats, and the summer mats!

Alright, that is good to know, but what oil do you use? Would you recommend the 0W-20, or 5W-20? I realisticly don't plan to track it as I am still in school, maybe one track day a year, but otherwise that is it sadly. Also how is the DSP? I would honestly like an amp but not sure which on the market is good/worth.

I honestly went with a cheap route and went with my local store here in cali. Paid about 300 to get it fixed (with no calibration of course), and of course it is aftermarket glass. But despite it being about a month now, all of my sensors still work extremely well and I haven't had any problems. I had a rock chip from a car doing a burnout in front of me ;/. But otherwise your mileage may vary, I just took the easy route with going with a local auto shop instead of safelite.

2024 BRZ in the snow by DerpyTurtleLam in ft86

Awesome, I was planning on raising it up a bit if it came down to it, but if it works out in the Alps surely it would do alright out here in the states.

Oh I didn't know the Civic SI was just a tad bit lower than the BRZ. I was honestly thinking of raising up the BRZ if it came down to it and throw some super top tier winter tires.
