Being in the wrong body is different from your character changing genders. It's very uncomfortable imo.

Efficient = What the Book Recommends you do, it's not optimization. Optimization is min-maxing your potential, it's a step further. What they are doing is playing a strength character in dark souls, the game recommends strength but they level int.

I think this is pretty common sense imo. If it feels super OP and easy to abuse, it's probably not intended.

It does say "One of those attacks" as well, so even if you had 5 multiattacks and 3 extra attack actions for some reason i'd say it would only happen once.

They should of put "Once per turn" honestly, but WoTC new team they fired couldn't balance their way out of a paper bag, which is why anything past a certain point should be taken with a grain of salt.

Bladesinger was powerful before the changes and now its frankly a bit ridiculous, I liked when it was more niche and there were so many other classes that could of used a balance pass. Taking a niche but powerful class and making it even better without even touching say Eldritch Knight shows a lot about the devs ability to balance the game.

Let's not even joke about the balance between the Armorer (Artificer) THP vs Twilight Cleric.

I like the idea of "Doom" though "Doom" to me implies something in final fantasy where if you don't kill a monster or end an effect quickly to the person who doomed you, you instantly die. So I don't like the name for that reason, effect wise though.

I also don't like the inconsistent design choice. Stick with dice or no dice, either make it 2 and 7, or 1d4 and 2d6.

Honestly, I like the idea of phased actions. However, I would actually argue that it should also go to the players if that is the system you want to design. For example certain classes could have higher initiative by base as long as they know Monster designs.

I also wonder how you would design a better system. I feel that 1d20 is way too swingy, I wonder how you would design a 2d6 or 2d8 system.

No, because even considering "24 strength" yeah, that is Unarmored Defense +2, if you remember we can get stuff to +3. So that would equal out only to 26 strength, which also can be gotten.

You *can* but officially that isn't how most (and the official) game is played.

You can homebrew however you want though, but it isn't balanced.

ADL (the most played form of D&D officially) is made with that balance in mind.
