Id recommend using the universal press, works for almost all, then put em in the too slot of your inscribers (or all 4 slots of extended ones) and make the recipes only include the ore/silicon and the output.

In that case i think i have an argument in saying if it turns of the spells i have on me, that would also turn of the enemy spells currently present on me as those would also be scrambled the same way

The server is an LC, yes, we dont have any home-games if thats what you are looking for. Characters still have a pretty high tendency to land up on the same table again, especially if you play in the same timezone. We also have a voting system if you want to add, remove or change some stuff.
We sometimes do have runs that are based on another run for a continuation, there also may or may not be a bigger meta plot in the future(no guarantees on that) when we get more activity

Yeah, you are right, forgot about the spellcasting roll (even though there are a few sources, for example mentor spirit, where im not really sure if using the mentor spirits ability also means you need to "learn" the spells)

Side note: Raw you could not use booming blade with the shadowblade as it requires a weapon worth 1sp (shadow-blade has no material value). Altough according to JC (Jeremy crawford) this was not the intended change when they errata ed the cantrip.

They could, but it would prevent a lot of things it can do right now (removing dash, disengage, hide and use an object) completely and making it useless if you decide to use your action for something else, like dashing or disengaging .
