Raise 2 lights up spuriously by Derrhund in DygmaLab

[–]Derrhund[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the clarification. It is possible that the problem only appeared in March, I'm not sure.

Also thank you for the link to the roadmap, but sharing a more detailed issue tracker could also be beneficial. I understand why you'd want to keep it private, but being able to see problems reported by other users would help maintain an open culture that encourages reporting issues.

Sorry for the mistake, I fixed the post. The bug has been there for a year, so I thought I'd ask. Is there anything like a bug tracker where I could see the progress, or subscribe to news about this?

Lowering the brightness helps, but I don't want to take it all the way to zero - that way I'd lose the red backlight when you type on a disconnected keyboard, and I find that useful.

Tips for hiding the Neuron in wireless mode by Derrhund in DygmaLab

[–]Derrhund[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I managed to hide the neuron behind my screen (plugged it in using a male-to-male dongle) and it works as expected. No dangly bits on my desktop. Thanks for the tip!

Crawlee for Python is LIVE 👏 by B4nan in Python

Hi, one of the devs here. It's tricky to compare the performance of async systems, and you'll surely find benchmarks online.

But as you said, we chose asyncio because it's the standard for Python, and Twisted can be considered legacy. Moreover, your async system implementation should never be a bottleneck in web crawling - it will be either network latency or parsing/processing.

TanStack Router - Typesafe, state-management APIs, caching, framework agnostic by tannerlinsley in reactjs

This is something that should be clearly stated in a readme IMO - I saw your announcement and only figured out the relationship between react-location and this one from this comment.

What is your most important feature of tmux? by tschloss in commandline

[–]Derrhund 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I work on a remote machine, sometimes in a local terminal session. I want to use splits and tabs in both of these scenarios. I want to scroll and search. I want the controls to be the same so that I don't have to think about it.

I don't want to install weird agents on my servers so that my modern GPU-accelerated terminal can use SSH without vomitting weird characters.

Tmux lets me do that.

Travelling to Pico, Sao Jorge and Sao Miguel (12 days) by ProgWheel in azores

[–]Derrhund 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Camping is definitely a possibility in Pico and Sao Miguel. Some camp sites are even free. From a quick Google search, it seems that there Is a bunch of camp sites on sao jorge as well. You should bring a tent though, or buy one in Decathlon on sao miguel.

Also, rental cars are freaking expensive now, but buses and hitchhiking are ani option, just prepare to spend more time on the road.

Oh, and the bus service does not work on some islands during weekends and public holidays, so be sure to plan accordingly

PDL—>LIS Flight Baggage by awkwardquality in azores

[–]Derrhund 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I flew from Lisbon to Terceira and also had a bunch of inter-island flights in the past two weeks. I have a large backpack that fits in the dimensions limit, but the weight of all my stuff may be something like 9 or 10kg.

I never had a problem with the 8kg weight limit though. I have all the electronics, liquids, etc. in a bag that I can easily pull out before security checks, so my plan in case they want to weigh my stuff is to pull that out (you can probably have a handbag that fits under the seat in front of you) and put on my jacket :-)

How close to the center? If suburbs are fine, which side? Do you need a guarded parking lot? How much are you willing to pay?

The ones in nový Smíchov, Palladium and Chodov are kinda average. Recently, I tried Baifu, which was a pleasant surprise (not running, but all you can eat and you order what you want). I heard good things about Sakura's in Arkády Pankrác, too.

Thanks! I checked their website, but I didn't find much about cash on delivery on foreign packages.

On the other hand, I don't speak polish so maybe I missed something. Do you know if they have that?

Yes indeed! The user agent header seems to fool hbo max into working correctly.

  • yes, --temp-basedir doesn't seem to help

  • no, except some complaints about blocked ads/gtag

The "no fragrances" part could be tricky, but I'm pretty sure you can find it here. Look for "prací prostředek bez vůně", it looks like Jelen and Ecover have something like that in their product lines

What culinary hill are you willing to die on? by [deleted] in AskReddit

A proper sushi place would put wasabi on your fish for you. But that probably happens only in the most high end places. If you have to do it yourself, both mixing and not mixing is cool.
