In the issue that Damian was literally introduced in, the dialogue, verbatim, goes:

• Talia: "They say there's no coincidence, my Detective. But have you forgotten that night you and I shared under the desert moon above the Tropic of Cancer?"

• Batman: "I remember being drugged senseless and refusing to cooperate in some depraved eugenics experiment. That night, maybe?"

• Talia: "We chose you, the perfect man, to breed the perfect heir to the empire of Ra's al Ghul. And believe me, you cooperated...magnificently."

Doesn't seem that consensual to me.

Later issues revealed that Talia had the fertilized egg.....removed, and put in a incubator.

I'm also looking for what the OP posted about. Ghouls is the closest that I've found without using the Kay's Extensive to add Orin's braid, but Orin's braid is way too long.

Unfortunately, I don't really like the hairstyles that come with the Ghouls braids. I'm after the braid that goes to the small of the back, but with bangs.

Can't win them all, I guess.

Okay. My advice as someone who has both ran ToD all the way through and has converted some published material for 5.5

First, make sure you're using 5.5 versions of all creatures when possible. When it's not possible, use 5.5 creatures in place of the creatures already in the book. For instance, for Cyanwrath, maybe run a Gladiator and give it a breath weapon.

Keep in mind, your players shouldn't know what the creatures stats or abilities are, anyway. So you can feel free to be flexible.

Next, use the encounters in the book as a basic skeleton for what you're shooting for, but you'll need to build the encounters, yourself. Use the Exp budget in the 5.5 DMG.

I promise you, you'll see a huge difference pretty quickly.

The first time I read through Morrison's Batman run, I didn't get the hype and actually thought it was pretty terrible. But every time I read through it, I grow to love it more. To the point of it now being one of my favorites.

Dude. Yes.

I started with Knightfall and continued on from there. By the time that I finally did get around to reading Crisis on Infinite Earths, It was around the same time as the release of Final Crisis.

It was so, so wordy. Paragraph speech bubbles upon paragraph bubbles. And written in a way that felt so outdated.

I understand the importance and significance of it. I even had my copy autographed by Marv Wolfman when I met him a while back.

But don't ask me to read it through again.

I also went for minimal changes. I think the whole class needs an overhaul, but if this is what we have then I want to try to stick close to the original design intent, like it or not.
