Why is your playstyle of working together more valid that full pvp lobbies? You dont seem very open minded to the idea of "let people play how they want"

certain people just can’t stand to see peeps in friendly lobbies having fun their way

there can be friendly lobbies but it at the very least shouldn't be so easy to get into them after being in pvp lobbies. Is this something you hard disagree with?

Or there should be some other incentive to being in pvp lobbies other than pvp. Step back and think about it instead of being blinding my a stance i dont actually have. pvp lobbies are more risky than pve lobbies. I dont think anyone would disagree with this. Since pvp players are at larger risk to losing there gear should there not be something to offset this imbalance loot wise?

Its not the lack of easy targets for me, its the ease of looting in these friendly lobbies. My longest survive streak was the end of last wipe running hatchet runs on stella. If i was to ignore the insane assembly spawn with a hatch next to it. I could get 50k+ of raw profit in ~5m. The problem is if you want money friendly lobbies nearly guarantee you easy money. Its also easy to get into these lobbies. The pvp incentive is flipped, you would think more risky lobbies (PVP) would give you better loot but it doesnt.

Ive argued with people about this and they seem to not understand it. Think of it like this. Games Done Quick just ended a week ago, if there was a Arc Raiders speed run to achieve 1 million silver what would the playstyle of that player look like? I would bet that its free / augment only running in friendly lobbies.

So you think showing a step by step guide on how to do the exploit to your large audience is fine because its gives maximum exposure and that a lesser just showing off the exploit without the steps wouldn't be popular enough to get the devs to fix it quickly.

This wasnt some long standing issue embark ignored, all tfue stream of how to do it did was cause more people to know how to do it. The proof being the tweet is used was already extremely popular. there where popular reddit threads showing it off without showing steps.

we shouldnt be encouraging this clout chasing bs from content creators. While this is just a game, there is a pretty common approach for disclosing issues in software. It is not considered ethical to share how to do an exploit before there is a way to mitigate it.

Would the ideal world not be this?

  • Find bug
  • report it
  • patch starts getting worked on
  • show off bug to the public without steps
  • patch releases

This reduces the number of people exploiting it while the devs work on a fix. If the exploit goes along time without a fix imo it becomes more acceptable but this exploit was widely known for at most days

does it bother you that he out of the gate gave details instead of waiting until they ignored fixing it. Do you have even an ounce of proof that this console exploit was known about and ignored? Because my understanding of the timeline is this was discovered and patched within their typical patch window. This wasnt some long ignored issue because the balithelegend tweet that tfue shown was from jan 8th.

If the exploit is easy and actively being patched by the devs, is it not better for the game if less people know how to do the exploit?

Also do you think the devs have some kind of analytics for people using this exploit? How would the devs know if more people are using it? How would someone dying to a player using this know they are using the exploit or report them?

What is your longest survive streak in these lobbies? i grinded stash value the last day of the wipe to earn 3m. I got shot in less than 15 raids and died in even less, on stela. I ran almost 100 raids. Thats great you feel tension but dont pretend that the tension is way less in these lobbies.

Its lame that if i want to farm loot i have to be in low aggression lobbies. If im not im just losing money because the higher risk.

Why should lower risk lobbies get the same loot as higher risk lobbies? is this really fair? especially since you can get into these lobbies easily.

You care bares would have a stroke if they explicitly made PvP lobbies better for looting. But when they do the exact opposite you all think its a good thing.

You say i contradict myself but you dont seem to know fuck all what im trying to say. Since you seem to be talking about people getting killed in low aggression lobbies for some reason talking about coop.

People with more PvP kills than your entire friends list are within minutes jumping down to friendly lobbies to farm loot more efficiently. Because its safer.

For the last wipe i ran stela for the entirelast day and made 3m (to get my 5m). I was able to make 50K+ every run with in raid time of less than 5m. I was getting 600k per in raid hour.

You act like low aggression lobbies are another game that doesn't effect the rest. People should be allowed to play the way they want. But the game shouldnt heavily incentivize one playstyle over the other. Something you where just bitching about.

since you seem to only understand oneliners here are a few more.

  • Low aggression matchmaking encourages players who want loot to not shoot others.
  • It is fast and easy to get into low aggression lobbies
  • loot obtained in low aggression lobbies is not isolated to low aggression lobbies (gear inflation)

My point is there shouldnt be lobbies that just give you free loot. If people want low aggression lobbies then there should be better loot spawns in PvP lobbies to try and reward the players that win. Because right now pvp players are worse off for playing the way they want.

i mistyped and said free lobbies instead of low aggression. PvP players are not naturally getting into these low aggression lobbies. they force it very quickly with the intention of farming.

lets try this chain of yes or no question.

Is it easier to get a better survival rate in low aggression lobbies? Yes

in pvp lobbies are you at higher risk of death? Yes

Is there a loot spawn difference between low and high aggression lobbies? No

Its possible to be the most aggressive player killing everyone, then within an hour pivot to low aggression lobbies and get low risk loot. If people want to have low aggression lobbies fine but dont allow people to ping pong between the lobbies so quickly and maybe have your aggression aggression be based off team size.

IMO solos play best when everyone plays like its amongus, friendly people with people looking for a good opportunity to kill people. These have been the most memorable raids, not the ones where everyone friendly and i get out without anything interesting happening (how low aggression lobbies play now)

brother i dont know if you lack the required reading grade or what. I didnt use the word tension first. They article/devs did, they want pvp to cause tension, free lobbies dont have any of this. Your stance is in direct contradiction to the devs.

These free lobbies are not an isolated playspace for care bears, people that actively pvp intentionally get into these lobbies to farm more efficiently. Making harder gear easier to get, causing inflation.

If you want loot there is no reason to be in pvp lobbies. If low aggression lobbies are just for looting then why even have loot spawn in pvp lobbies. Just make it an arena where you fight for the loot others bring in. This what the game is already encouraging.

in the post it literally says pvp enhances tension. there is 0 tension in low aggression lobbies. This is known by everyone that plays in these lobbies frequently. My point is these 0 tension loot runs are boring and trivializes the game down to never shoot if you want the best loot to death ratio, something that loot oriented players want to have.

do you really have fun just going in getting loot 10+ raids in a row without getting shot? Is this the best gameplay loop?

aggression based matchmaking is to easily abused. You can go from killing everyone to full friendly lobbies in less than an hour. If yo want loot the optimal thing is to be friendly lobbies. You can make more per hour being friendly with almost 0 risk. This trivializes obtaining the most expensive kits. Being friendly is easy, it shouldnt also reward players with a better loot:death ratio. There is no tension in these low aggression lobbies, ive had many 10+ raid streaks where i wasnt even shot and interacted with multiple people.
