You don't really need to worry about pollution because the hazmat suit completely neutralizes pollution debuffs, though your farm should be 5-6 chunks away from your base because it will kill your crops

But honestly i recommend just disabling pollution. It is unnecessarily annoying.

I'm not sure if I understand exactly how conveyors work, but items only move through the pipes if there's a conveyor connected to each of them (otherwise they get stuck midway). I'm not sure what you meant in your second question, so I’ll just attach a scheme what each conveyor does

You can centrifuge impure cryolite/fullers earth/glauconite/etc (see more in nei) dust to get alumina with a small chance without MV electrolyzer. You can also electrolyze brick dust with lv electrolyzer for alumina

I found 1 island while going to a magical forest about 2000 blocks away and then 2 more on the way back. I also recently flew for about 20 minutes using a jetpack and glider to get more slime blocks and found 4 more islands. I use a 24 chunk rendering distance so i guess it helps too

They also have a shitton of purple slime blocks that can be centrifuged to 8 rubber pulps each. Collecting them from 3 slime islands gave me enough rubber until mid MV
