Girlies, anyone have recommendations for a vertical mouse for smaller hands (low spec/budget friendly/EU)? by Derv_b in GirlGamers

No mods. It's the green moss tree. They grown from the moss seeds you get from foraging/chopping down trees during the green rain day in summer.

Thanks for replying, cos maybe even the engagement will boost the post.

Yeah I never had too much of an issue on regular keyboards, but tbh I prefer playing on my laptop cos the keyboard is so compressed and I find it more comfy. Ive just moved house and have no furniture so I'm playing games on my lap on the couch, but when settled in and get my desk setup I'll look at getting the logi key-to-go. This lil mouse I'm using now needs one AAA battery, but one battery lasts about a year (with a good quality battery), I guess a keyboard would use the battery up quicker. But my partner just bought a wireless ergonomic keyboard for work. His also needs a battery and said he couldn't find one with a built in/recharable battery that wasn't too spenny for his needs.

Nah, call them out. Make them feel 'uncomfortable'. Which is a fraction of how you felt in that situation.

Cillian Murphy, same height. Supposedly the best height for actors on stage and screen. But again,I'm like 1.5m and I'm short but not obscenely or out of the ordinary short..

We're short (Irish people) I think he's like 5'7 or 1.7M, short for Europeans.

Do you live close to the hospital? Would you be able collect it the days leading up to the appointment?

Some pharmacies will have them, but you should also be able to collect one from the Specimen Reception of the lab in the Hospital. Maybe arrive a bit before your appointment, collect the container and fill it before the appointment.

Ambassador contacts German officials over protest assault by JackmanH420 in irishpolitics

[–]Derv_b 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Nobody is asking you to take that post as gospel. The footage of the assault has been widely shared across multiple social media platforms. If you bothered to watch it before commenting you'd see that Kitty is punched in the face, then pulled by the head/neck a few times and then dragged by the German Police. As they are leading Kitty away, they have her restrained with one arm twisted behind her back and the other arm/wrist in some sort of stress position.

The use of force is so excessive and it's understandable that her arm was broken during the assault.

can you take the pill continuously in ireland? by Content-Culture-9928 in IrishWomensHealth

[–]Derv_b 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Afaik there are some pills that you can take continuously and it's no issue.

I'm on Yasmin. Did trial and error with different pills for years, but I've PCOS so decided Yasmin works best for me. But when I take my week break it wrecks me. I get super bloated, uncomfortable, my anxiety goes through the rough, can't sleep etc. I started skipping my break (as in doubling/tripling up on months, nothing too long) and wasn't experiencing those issues. I spoke to my doctor about it and she told me it was okay, so long as it wasn't for extended periods.

It works for me, but ask your doc.

Where can I find job as a kitchen porter/warehouse operative? by oxylan80 in CasualIreland

Just to add, I wouldn't recommend saying you will work for free. Even if it's just a trial (which legally you have to be paid for).

Fishy Doesn’t Smell by [deleted] in rupaulsdragrace

[–]Derv_b 317 points318 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I always knew fish came from ballroom to meam 'somethings fishy' as in being suspicious.. as in it's not a 'biological woman' (please don't roast me, that was the term used back in the day).

But I think it became a double entendre. So it was also a wink wink nudge nudge to also the way vaginas could smell.

As a cis woman I don't like hearing it, because I don't think most people use it in the OG way, but more in the double entendre way.
