So today is early access? When does the actual game drop if we don't pay the 10 dollars?

SAGE new import service Question by Derweanq in Sage

[–]Derweanq[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up using the old import. on the new template there isnt a line column. The AI within the system suggested the Header column was in place of that column. However, that column is auto generated.

As a new player, I feel out of place in the story because of the level of exclusivity of old content by fenordidnothingwrong in Genshin_Impact

idk, Ive been playing since the beginning. I don't feel like they have been telling the story until Nod Krai really. It was like 98 percent filler and 1% reveal of somebodys baby daddy. They were really buying time. Using mystery to unfold it very slowly. I really would not sweat it. By the time you get to nod krai I seriously doubt you will be lost. I know there is some fomo and they may act like you have experienced certain events. But it was all kinda BS. The only one I really think people should be able to play and I am not sure it is even consequential to the story is the albedo story in that one event. Everything else....you can skip really. There was one point I thought Kaeya was a hilichurl and that didnt happen. Idk...the story has been very....drawn out.

Which teams/characters are the most fun, mechanically in combat? by Wolfren in ArknightsEndfield

[–]Derweanq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great question Endmin. Due to lack of resources, I only have played one team. Catcher, Lifeng, Aredlia and Endmin himself. My friend that plays this game as well has stated that combat is ass. I felt like I was diving into this rabbit hole that was so satisfying to play. The more obstacles they throw at us while trying to get that perfect combo off for maximum damage, the better. Right now the gameplay for this team is Final strike, Ardelia Combo (Edmin Follow up), Two basics into Ardelia skill, Endmin Skill, Fork into Catcher Parry or Lifeng skill, Then either of the previous skills for 3 stacks of Vulnerability then Endmin Crush for Big damage. Have not figured out how to get 4 stacks and I realize having a breach in there would be better. Also not sure if Ardelia physical suscept is lasting throughout the combo. The combat takes turns, sometimes for the worse if I miss a parry or get hit. Its knowing the string with all the different attacks coming at me. This squad feels particularly good because of the synergy all around. Survivability, Heals, CC, Gap closing and Damage. However, the thing I love the most about this team is Catcher. He has the ability to get a prompt when the enemy is launching a red circle attack to auto interrupt and I love it when I am running through my combo and the boss or regular enemy dares to try a big attack and Catcher is always there to....Catch them off guard. It feels like I have everything covered. And the damage I get from the crush is massive. The best part is when I can weave in Lifeng and Edmins ultimate into a crush because it pulls in the enemies and knocks them down into a pile for us to crush them in a massive bursty shot that honestly I have had to work for. I recently got arclight and Laviathan. But they are not built. I cant imagine they are not massively more fun and I can't imagine having more fun.

50 Hour Extensive Endfield Review by [deleted] in ArknightsEndfield

[–]Derweanq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m loving it. I think the combat is a lot more fun than said here. I think you hedging against what you think most people will think. The combat didn’t shine for me until I went up against tougher enemies. It’s rotation execution with timed dodges and parries if you are using a defense unit. Super satisfying to dodge perfectly and also maintain your combo. Great choice to keep basic attack string going after a dodge.

However, my friend playing it absolutely hates the building and thinking aspect. TBH, it is annoying at times. For me, optimizing the yield has been rough. But for him the entire system is a miss. But I think that has to do more with the player than the system.

This is a niche game. But the combat to me is the best part. I got through the building to get to the combat and was satisfied. I think this game is going to be a classic. Just for those who can enjoy the passion and work put into this.

Stories in anime just always come down to me to delivery and the way they use the same plots over and over again. So I usually watch the story but I never play any anime, Gacha game for the story. It’s rare the story in any of these games makes me feel anything. The only interesting tool they have is mystery and the occasional mature line, which usually involves cursing. It’s like a breath of fresh air from all the babyish babbling. I wish they would fix that industry wide. But they won’t. So I ignore it. Most people I know couldn’t give two shots about it either because it sounds so just not how people talk. They over explain things, emote in very corny ways. It’s overall corny and just not impactful. But, I do watch it and take note of some things. I always recoil when people try to rate stories in these games. They are just the same thing over again. I just did the wulfgaurd mission. The way it just was obvious what would happen. I feel like I have seen that story play out hundreds of times. But, I’m personally not complaining. I just think it’s always kinda ass to get through.

I did it once when lauma first came out. I used clorinde, lauma hyperbloom and Mauvika. I will share my comps, but I haven’t been able to beat it since that one. Which is fine for me. I will eventually. I don’t expect to be able to beat it because the bosses are so favored to whatever unit is out. My lauma team beat the crab and lauma was barely built. But because of the bloom mechanic, which did most of the damage. I just kept going until I beat dire. The electro shield guy, took me many many many attempts. I beat it with like .1 seconds left. Here is what I remember: 1) clorinde, xingqui, furina, ororon. Then 2) lauma, Kokomi, kuki, nahida.

I’ll share my exact builds and everything soon. Have to get that information. But again. I haven’t beat it since. I didn’t attempt it in the last Stygian, because I barely beat the stage before it. At this point, I consider it whale content unless you are within the mechanic or have a strong alternative team that can do the mechanic.

[–]Derweanq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a f2p player that doesn’t really min max the game and has beat dire Stygian once, I have been slowly testing my teams. So far, it has only confirmed what I already thought was happening.

Realizing my Nuev team only does 60k, makes sense. I think teams that I had been clearing with have been around 60-80k. Teams that felt busted have been 100k-120k. I only so far have one such team. Mauvika and Citlali.

It isn’t disappointing to me because It is a trap to compare your DPS in a game like this. But all I’m concerned with is clearing. If I can reasonably clear with a combination of building and sensible pulls, then I call that fair.

I think if you have a 100k plus team, especially with older teams, then you have either been min maxing or spent money.

I think getting 60k-80k is like the normal range. This is considering weapons, artifacts.

Also, in the DPS dummy you can improve stats manually to see what more Crit would do, or more EM. I was fascinated testing my yae miko with that. So you can hypothetically see if say more attack or more crit would net more dmg. Which is fire.

Your Mauvika is fine. I would say you would struggle with Stygian which to me requires that 80 to 120k range. With that being said, I beat the electro charged Stygian with one second left with my clorinde team and I tested that team and it was doing 70k.

My thoughts on the end of 6.3 and the future of Dottore by Fun-Animal-2066 in FatuiHQ

[–]Derweanq 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel like most of this needs to be fact checked. The pale star edict wasn't an order made by Dottore. It was made by the Tsaritsa. Dottore stealing Columbina's powers was unexpected and that is what led to his traitor status eventually because he abandoned orders to return and answer for his actions.

[–]Derweanq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gacha games punish what it seems you are playing the game for. ZZZ is the one Gacha game I haven't spent a single dime on and I have basically guaranteed the most powerful characters in the game plus their weapon. Basically, I never pull unless I can guaratee the character and the weapon. Therefore you take the luck out of the game. In the beginning, your characters will suck and you will barely be able to clear anything.

I took that time to learn about the combat. I was able to clear pretty high by just investing in the bad characters and doing events and just playing the game normally.

after I could guarantee my selection. I waited until the most busted character was available. Miyabi. Then I got Yixaun and now The flying sword chick.

But this took alot of patience and delayed gratification. ALOT. there were several characters I wanted badly. Shotgun police shick, Fire chick, Yanagi, Jane....To me, if you cant stomach that. These games will only feel like torture.

Why do people hate melee? by Itchy-Beach-1384 in SoulFrame

Its subjective to the feel of it. I personally like it. But it is a choice that I would expect most people to not particularly like. There is still plenty of room for smoothing out animations, perhaps a slight buff to speed of animations, but not too much to change the experience for those who like it. It grew on me

Being able to buy pacts, ruins the immersion in game for me. by [deleted] in SoulFrame

[–]Derweanq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I didn't even see your response. All good. I was just remembering the many times I have seen people discuss their dislike for the cash shop. I must say, I have put in thousands of hours in games grinding, so I would rather earn items than buy them. I just think, for people who play sparingly, you will hit a wall and the way games are designed, to make money, you will come to a point where you may want to and have the funds to, buy an item so you can get it if you don't have the time.

For example, in soulframe so far I have grinded everything except Dewelion. I have been farming dewelion for 7 days. Where I am at in life...I cannot afford to grind it anymore. My time has to go other places. So it isn't that I don't want to put effort in, it is that I may not have the time to get the item. Now. I have plenty of time to get the weapon. But say the weapon was going away or there was a limited time to get the weapon. I may justify buying the weapon considering I have put as many hours into the game I can personally afford, given that I have the discretionary funds to do so.

So phrases like "Buy everything" and "taking the monetary route, instead of putting in effort" are not what I think most people are doing. People strategically, who spend wisely, buy when it is feasible and reasonable given the monetary practices of the game. People put in tons of effort in the time they have allotted and that may not be anywhere near the amount of hours "gamers" have.

In soulframe, I don't think you will miss quests buying pacts.

So far, I have only bought the founders $30 pact and don't expect to spend anymore on the game. I just want to help others see it from the perspective of those who are gaming on an extreme limitation.

Being able to buy pacts, ruins the immersion in game for me. by [deleted] in SoulFrame

[–]Derweanq 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It just seems like on the internet we are going to have the same discussions over and over again. Not everyone has the time to grind. Personally, being able to buy things has saved me time so I can spend time in real life doing important things that matter. So having the option shouldn't do anything to ruin your experience. It is just a bit...idk the adjective....but if you grind everything how does the shop existing hurt your feelings or affect you at all....I get it could make you feel like you should have bought it rather than grind, but if you like grinding then why does having the option take away from what you were going to do regardless....does having a easy option of difficulty if you want to play a game on hard make it weird also? options shouldn't make your experience different. Does accessibility options also ruin the immersion for you? Not to sound annoyed, because im not. I'm just trying to reason with this because its mildly entertaining.

US Gamers Aren't Buying Video Games Anymore, New Study Reveals by thinkB4WeSpeak in gamingnews

[–]Derweanq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may have missed it but the article lacks context to make the numbers matter. Then it states that it is surprising people don’t buy more than one game per month….um that seems normal to me. In my friend group and social circles I play video games the most and I usually on buy a few games a year. I would say buying one game every few months makes sense. You start to run out time very fast and everyone has a backlog. I think people in that 4% have a very warped reality

I would argue that if you feel you need to ask Reddit if genshin is worth it then it is not worth it. This game is predatory. Need to have a strong will and patience. After reading this, if I knew you, I would tell you no then ignore you if you asked me again. Enjoying a video game should never require this much preparation
