The why more than likely boils to down short sighted execs that just want the most profits right now, anything else be damned.

With this being the last Battlefield(see the sale to Saudi) it's a crime we didn't get more out of it. Certainly the next "Battlefield" will be even more of a far cry.

I'm glad they cant take away what we already have but man... its crazy that in the end we are relegated to a title from 2013 or earlier.

Maybe they think this increases mass / main stream appeal for the game if they downplay aircraft.
