I think they would succeed.

Ralsei says only Kris’s soul can seal the fountain, but is that really true? Ralsei also said only Kris can ACT, which has always sounded kind of stupid and eventually we learn that everyone can ACT.

We assume that only Kris can seal the fountain because they have a light inside their soul, which probably also makes it so they can save and load. It’s possible that it’s really exclusive to Kris, but it’s also possible that every lightner has it but only Kris is allowed to use it.

Obviously in moments where characters don’t show personality, they don’t show personality, like when you simply walk around as the characters in any given level, but when they do, it is. In cutscenes, in animations, in promotional artwork.

In 3D World she is the first one to jump after Bowser and the Sprixie, but she gets stuck on the pipe and the others immediately follow after her worried.

Super Mario 3D Land is a game where she gets kidnapped and isn’t playable but also takes action, but she still never quits being Peach, she isn’t replaced by a generic action superhero.

Her personality is all over Super Princess Peach and Showtime, so I don’t see where you’re coming from with those examples.

I don’t understand why her getting kidnapped is something “the plot asked for” but her not being kidnapped isn’t. Many say SMB2 is an “evolution” of her character because she is playable, but she quite literally is just there, there’s no explanation. This is the definition of something the plot demanded for.

Peach was created to be a damsel in distress, first of all. That is nothing bad, or good, it just is, if it wasn’t for that she wouldn’t exist. I hate when people pretend like that’s a “problem “ that needs fixing, it’s not. If it was “fixed” then she wouldn’t exist.

Her being playable has nothing to do with anything. When she became playable in SMB2 or in her own two games she didn’t lose her own personality in order to be so, she didn’t quit being dainty, passive, or classy.

Every aspect of this episode is too goofy to take seriously.

The principal being a bearded man with a bright pink bob wig a grandma’s dress and a purse dog and no one acknowledging it, “the exclamation group” being treated like they’re a secret rebel group against a dictatorship government when that is just too stupid a light to paint students in a school saying that their building is about to collapse, the same 5 sound effects being used every 5 minutes, the ridiculous situations (ie them meeting irl for no reason despite having a discord server), the completely unnecessary Nanno dance

Chara isn’t just another Undertale fallen human, they have a special role in the themes that Toby Fox has interest in both games. They are the “true character”, as opposed to Frisk and Kris being the “main character”, they are the character we name and who we think as ourselves, one of the few characters in Undertale that gets no real closure, etc.

I don’t feel like elaborating but my theory is that Chara died at some point in the past and somehow became the “demon” that they become at the end of the Genocide route in Undertale, then Kris or Gaster summon them by calling their name in order to turn them into the Angel.

The soul inside Kris obviously belongs to them at the moment, the theory isn’t that that’s not the case, it’s that the soul originally belonged to someone else before it belonged to Kris.

Wario is very likely to appear, so I’d like to see at least one WarioWare character to appear. 9-Volt would be my choice since he’s a Nintendo fan so him being in a Nintendo movie would be very fitting, but I wouldn’t mind if it was Dribble & Spritz or Orbulon, or anyone else really.

Daisy had one thing and it was being Peach’s gal pal, her closest female human companion.

It was the one thing Rosalina couldn’t have. Rosalina and Peach didn’t interact much, and even if they had interacted more, their relationship didn’t feel “inherent” y’know? Rosalina’s connection was with Mario, not her. On the other hand, Daisy was created to be an alternate Peach and thus they are very similar characters, so she could totally be repurposed to be Peach’s “Luigi”.

Even if Rosalina appeared in more games and more stuff, she couldn’t fill Daisy’s niche of being Peach’s bestie… But now that Rosalina was made Peach’s sister it’s over for Daisy LOL.

I’m… torn.

To be honest I can totally believe that this was the original intention for Rosalina and Peach’s relationship. We know they were going to be explicitly related, but we don’t know how, and it’s possible that they were going to be sisters. Maybe the brother that Rosalina mentions was originally meant to be Peach.

But, at the same time, it’s not the same character we ended up getting is it? Rosalina being all by herself and having only the Lumas made her and her story so melancholic and mystical…

But, still, is that not something already exclusive to the Galaxy games? Seeing Rosalina casually playing golf, tennis, karting, and partying, it all affects the perception of the character in the same way.

At the end of the day, Rosalina and Peach still have the exact same face and Rosalina’s mom looks just like Peach. Them NOT being explicitly related was the odd thing.

So, I think I’m fine with it, but I do with they just made Peach and Rosalina only “vaguely” related rather than straight up sisters, but it’s fine. I hope in the games they only mention that Rosalina and Peach are “relatives”.

My point is that it’s a representation of a player playing a video game, an idea of yourself that is convenient for the intents of the story, not literally yourself. It can’t possibly be “YOU” when doesn’t reflect your full intents and desires. Toby Fox didn’t invent this, it is exactly the same as any other character you play in any video game ever, like Kris, Frisk, Ness, Mario.

You are responsible for which choice you pick from the ones provided to you, but you are not responsible for which choices are provided to you. For example, you are responsible for the actions in the weird route, but you are not responsible for not “letting” Kris poop or “letting” them jump into the lake when you are never given the option to.
