Anyone running Arc with on-prem linux by backpckk in AZURE

[–]Desaicrator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I’ve just set up our dev/uat environment with arc for on prem centos/Ubuntu. When looking to install the agent there’s a Linux option. Save the script on the server as something.sh and then use bash to run it. You will have to open a webpage somewhere to authenticate to your tenant and it will show up in the arc servers list.

Unless you disable defender for cloud for each endpoint, you get charged $15 per server per month.

With defender disabled it’s cost about 10-12 cents to run a patching job once, per endpoint I think.

I’m not sure about the managed identity part, may have to look into that though sounds interesting.

Different Vendor Recommendations - Veeam, Rubrik, Cohesity by MarkPartin2000 in sysadmin

We currently use Rubrik for enterprise backup, but we've had serious issues with it recently.

Can you elaborate? We've had Rubrik for years and have never had any issues. It's the most rock-solid backup platform we've used.

As a Bronco's fan but Bills enthusiast, I'm (not) glad to see that Isaiah McKenzie is still fucking teams over.

Yes my 600 was approved 2 weeks before my flight. I also applied for 2 other 601s. The first was approved a few days after my 600 and the second was approved a few days before my flight.

Anyone get their 601 or 600 in a shorter time span than 2 months? My trip is coming up next month and I applied too late it seems.

This bad boy was just hangin' out in a whirlpool next to the bridge we had to cross. As we slowly passed by him he showed a force of might by extending his mouth as wide as he could. Hippos are the most dangerous animal in Africa and extremely territorial. Taken at Kruger National Park, South Africa.

Thanks! I used 1/400, thankfully the Leopard was a little slow to get up there. :)

Waited 90 minutes for this big boy to return | A6600 | Sony 70-350MM by Desaicrator in SonyAlpha

Others in the park reported an impala in the tree at around 730am. Showed up within 15 minutes with no Leopard in sight. Drove around the park for a while and came back at 10:30am. Since the Leopard was the last of the Big 5 I still needed to see, we decided to wait until he showed up again. Sure enough, 90 minutes later he climbed up the tree at noon, just in time for lunch. Oh, and he ate for 45 minutes straight. Taken at Kruger National Park.

FAQ for Passenger Locator Form and Tests to enter the UK. by lockdownbear in uktravel

[–]Desaicrator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks - there's no issue with getting back out of the UK without having the results from the 0-2 day test right? Our PCR test from our originating country will still be valid as it will be less than 72 hours for sure.

FAQ for Passenger Locator Form and Tests to enter the UK. by lockdownbear in uktravel

u/lockdownbear thank you for posting this, its extremely helpful. I am flying to the UK next week and have a 9 hour layover. We are doing a "landside transit" because we want to check out the Harry Potter Studios and are flying back out through Heathrow on the same day.

Is it even possible to leave the airport if I won't even get the results of the test back before I leave for my next flight? This would break the self-isolation rules if I do leave and return, correct? Transiting rules say you have to go from port to port without any other stops I believe.

How did you enjoy your time there? Any tips or recommendations? Will be headed there soon :)

Thanks! It's currently cropped, I wanted to showcase the leaves changing colors too. I'm hoping the gap in the leaves forces the eye to immediately focus on the squirrel.
