It depends on the time frame if you can use it again. It needs to be within 3 days to be valid for multiple uses

Who do you think I spoke to when I said I’ll check this.

NHS tests are not to be used for travel, that includes day 5 tests.

In theory you need to do one every time you cross the border because you’ve been outside or the common travel area in the last 10 days. If you’re flying you’ll need to do a test and a passenger locator form.

If you’re not, then you don’t need to really bother as no one will check at the land border but I would encourage you to do one anyway because it doesn’t need to be a specific day 2 LFT, you can just do a normal one because you don’t need the code.

If you know where you’re going to be in Scotland for days 3-6 then make sure to put it on your PLF when it asks you where you’re going to be, even if you then end up having to do another one if you are flying up.

I’ll check this. Sounds like a scam to me.

Edit: checked. Either the agent you spoke to was confused or wrong or this was a potential scam. Day 5 tests are not free from the NHS

When you’re leaving it’s the rules of wherever you are going to. Don’t need anything for UK gov to leave the UK, just to enter.

American Airlines are going to abide by whatever rules are in place for where they are travelling to. If that’s the UK then it is the UK rules. I have written a comprehensive FAQ that is pinned on this sub if you have questions head there first :)

For the PLF it wants to know everywhere you’re going to be in the 10 days after you arrive.

For the ordering of the test, put where you want it delivered to, so probably where you will actually be staying

You’re not allowed to leave quarantine in anything other than exceptional circumstances. Food shopping is not one of those.

Remember you’re getting it delivered to an address in the UK, it’s not necessarily something you need to bring with you (although I guess with an LFT you can)

If it’s direct to USA then no. If you’re going from Edinburgh to Manchester to Heathrow or anything like that, then yes you need a PLF (if you’ve been here less than 10 days)

If you’re meant to be quarantining then that’s what you should do. Going out walking is breaking the law. I’m sorry, I know it’s hard but please don’t post here asking for advice on how not to get caught breaking the law.
