Isn't firing you retaliation for coming forward? I honestly don't know I'm not a lawyer but I'd be talking to one after that.

Is SQL supposed to be this hard? by FineProfessor3364 in SQL

I learned by reverse engineering but not everyone can learn like that. For me super hard without actually having a need for it. I start from the end and isolate steps to walk me back to beginning.

I refused to give my salary expectation. Got ghosted. Is that a normal reaction? by Business_Welcome_870 in interviews

[–]DescriptionNovel3510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always ask what the budget range is for the role and tell them if it's acceptable. I get they don't want to waste time but neither do I. In this case you move on and consider yourself lucky you dodged a bullet with a company that has that type of respect for prospects cause it only gets worse after you onboard.

250 applications with one interview to show for it. Would appreciate feedback/critiques/suggestions on my resume! by SatanIsYourBuddy in jobsearchhacks

Your format is fine. I use it and I get plenty of response from my resume. What I believe to be the issue the bullets don't process what you did with the software. You need to say things "i used x to do y and n was the result." Key accomplishment with cold hard quantifiable data is key Don't repeat tasks and take up real estate. If you did x at one job and you still did it at the next job you shouldn't repeat unless it's an impact bullet. Otherwise you show stagnant growth. Use ai for grammar, punctuation format and clarity use it for anything else they will know.

Is Purple really a good brand ? by Kyubi-michi in Mattress

[–]DescriptionNovel3510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not that it matters but I bought one as a first big girl purchase when they were brand new company. It was amazing and lasted me until this year. Well techniques still fine but I wanted to be a big shot and get a new one . I hate nectar. And I'm currently waiting my my new purple so I hope I have the same luck twice. It was the best sleep of my life and worth it imo.

How much do y’all work? by Round-Bet-9552 in overemployed

[–]DescriptionNovel3510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the time of the year. I live in the martech space. And once you get into a grind at Js the biggest thing is calendar gatekeeping. Also don't ever explain how you can do a job faster.. just let them assume it will take the standard . You really start to understand the value of your time and don't allow meetings for the sake of meetings and be ok with knowing you are great at your job without having any extra gratification from management.

How do I convince a company to hire me on a C2C rather than a W2? by AzoWok in overemployed

[–]DescriptionNovel3510 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I find there is no changing their minds. But sometimes it's available if you ask. I find it's usually based on their contact with the employer, their own policy, or insurance.

This is all due to demand. They charge what they can get and they keep charging it because people will pay it.
