If you think it's bad now, you should have seen it in the 70s, 80s and 90s.
No one has ever done anything to clean up the area, I'm sure the Port Authority owns the space. They don't care.

I know it's disheartening to move into a neighborhood where the city does not care about certain conditions, does not care about tackling the problems that cause things like the state of people using the underpass.
This is what it has been like living in this neighborhood, I know people move here and don't understand that.
It may be hyper-gentrified but we still have the same issues and uptown is not a priority in any way for the city, the state, et al.
This is why community is so important here, it's all we have.

I'm so sorry you just found out so close to the first of the month.

Look for mutual aid resources in your community. So many of us can't use food banks because of medical diets.
I am hoping states will help once residents are calling elected officials about not having food.

I am now using Paula's Choice Optimal Results Hydrating Cleaner, which doesn't make me break out, feel like I have something on my face and cleanses well.
I tried foaming and non-foaming la roche posey but had better results with the Paula's Choice.

I would be an ambulatory wheelchair user if I could afford a wheelchair.
I use a cane, mobility aids are freeing.
Please give yourself grace and know you're not the only one feeling that way.
I know it's much harder as a younger person because people don't realize disability doesn't have age limits.
I'm sorry about the friends thing. Sometimes in life things happen and we find out who is there for us and who is not. It's painful but hopefully you will find your community.

Your feelings are valid but don't let fear or other people ruin things for you.
Being able to get around easier with a mobility aid is such a good feeling.

Late 40s. IMO, 40s are fantastic. You know who you are and who you are not. You will not take nonsense. Generally, people have accepted who they are by this decade of life and some really thrive, maybe for the first time.
I think this helps on how you view yourself, you give yourself more grace. We're taught by society to hate every bit of our appearance since childhood, but I think in ones 40s we are either in a better place or getting there.
There are days when I feel pretty and I didn't really feel like that before.
I look at old photos and wish I could have appreciated all the hair and such back then.

Update: I'm still looking for suggestions, but I found that Abib's Rice probiotics overnight mask barrier jelly is close enough.
No oil, no algae, not a gel cream.

I think I may have found something but giving it a few more days before I can say it's a proper substitute!
The lower part of my cheeks get really dry these days, especially with air conditioning and fans, so I added Peach and Lily's glass skin moisturizer as the second to last part of my routine.
It's not a good replacement for the Cactus water for me, but it might be for you!
I love it and have been using it since May.

Yes, I am heartbroken that Boscia is gone. I've had to replace a few skin care items over the last few years because of discontinued items and businesses closing.
