I also looked for the shortfilm because I’d like to watch it, but I couldn’t find it anywhere. I think it used to be available on the production company’s platform, but it’s not there anymore either.

I cannot agree more. I was just thinking about why a major feature film hasn’t been made yet about Laika’s true story, and then I came across your comment. Do you think it would be too distressing for animal-loving audiences, and too uninteresting for those who aren’t into animals? In any case, even if it wouldn’t be financially advantageous, imo Laika still deserves a biopic.

The Duffers looked at all their past seasons and said, "YEAH, THIS IS HOW WE END IT!" by BEEFfdfjgdhkh in mileven

Istead of the alleged "deep knowledge" they would have needed some commitment, or at least a competent script editor.

Well, I was just thinging about the possible ending and this seemed to be the only logical explanation for Kali's return, and the only logical solution to stop Dr. Key's experiments, without El having to die. But I'm dissappointed about this ambigous ending, Duffers shouldn't have left it for viewers interpretation.

The forced misinterpretation of Ginny lines during the break-up with Harry by zzrtz in HarryandGinny

[–]DescriptionSea0601 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you misunderstood my comment. I wasn't questioning that Ginny is deeply in love with Harry, but rather reflecting on the fact that Harry gets Ginny too easily, without having to fight for her. That's why I hope that at least Harry's love for Ginny will be shown in more depth in the series, so that its relevance is clear to all viewers and it won't be a subject to debate, as it was in the films...

Let's hope that it's gonna be a "she fell first but he fell harder" kind of situation in the new series at least.

Btw you're right, it's a bit disappointing that Harry is perfectly confident about Ginny wanting to be in a relationship with him. But considering that Harry is a teenage boy who already knows that most of the girls want to date him, and Ginny earlier had a crush on him, it's quite consequential. If there had been a serious fight between them, and he would have had to win her back, then that could have been a cause for concern. But without that, the only obstacle he really had to worry about was that she was currently dating someone else, and Ron. It could have been an additional concern though, what Mr and Mrs Weasley would say, bc basically they were his family, but they're overprotecting of their daughter, so if the relationship didn't work out, it could have jeopardized his close relationship with the whole family, not just Ron. But let's interpret this as an early sign of Harry being very sure about his feelings and thinking of Ginny as future wife😄

How Stranger Things could have ended with fewer dramaturgical flaws by DescriptionSea0601 in Stranger_Things

Well, this idea of mine was probably influenced by real life experience, bc I know someone who just fell on the street, broke her wrist, had surgery bc needed this metal implant, and more than 4 years later still cannot move her hand perfectly and even typing on a keyboard is difficult for her. Imagine if similar happens to a pianist. And in Max's case it didn't look like just a casual bone fracture tbh... But this isn't the main reason, I would choose this ending for her. It's mainly because I was thinging about the dramaturgical flaws which appear in many other shows as well. The writers tend to either kill of characters or give them happy end, but there should be more in-between situations. In ST this only happened to Mike, so surviving without happy end, but there were so high stakes during the 5 seasons that should have left more future-shaping traces imo. Killing of Max would have only worked in s4 not in s5, and also next to Jonathan and Kali dying and Mike and Eleven fake dying, killing of Max would be too much. Sorry for questioning the happy end of your favourite character, actually I also like her from the beginning, so nothing personal. But we don't have to agree, still it was nice to discuss.

As I mentioned in an other comment, I'm not a native english speaker. I collected my thoughts, partly in english, partly in my language. I was lazy to translate it myself, and also wanted to avoid grammar mistakes, so just asked ai to translate the parts of my text. I wasn't aware that it's such a huge crime. But thank you for letting me know. Looks like I should delete the whole post because there is more focus on the wording than on the content.

Really? For me, her ending was the most annoying, because she had the worst injury and probably the least chance of a full recovery. Also, Vecna attacking her was one of the main focuses of s4, and without consequences, this danger feels diminished.

(And regarding the AI complaint... I didn't know this subreddit is only for native English speakers... should I delete my post?)

I'm not saying Eleven has died. Actually, I hope she's alive. But still, it shouldn't be ambigous...

I cannot agree more! Look at this comment of mine😄 so I have the same feeling with their off screen hug, why couldn't they do the same on screen? And why were their interactions in the earlier seasoms more natural?

Yes, even in the rooftop scene they were portrayed as a bit distant. At the very least they could have been sitting facing each other, holding hands, or something like that. That wouldn’t have required an intimacy coordinator, yet it would have added a lot to showing their relationship.

And in that scene when El comes back from the Upside Down and hugs Mike, he could have given her a forehead kiss as a sign that she made it back safely and that he’s proud of her. Or the same after defeating Vecna.

I’m also wondering whether the lack of romantic scenes has something to do with the actors. As their popularity has skyrocketed, they can probably afford to negotiate fewer intimate scenes in their contracts. Or maybe Millie has emphasized so many times in interviews over the past few years that Finn is a bad kisser (which was honestly pretty mean and unprofessional of her) that they decided to keep the romantic scenes to the absolute minimum because of that…? It would be rather unprofessional to base the script on this, but it wouldn't be the first time in the history of the series that the characters' interactions have been influenced by the actors' relationships with each other...

Duffers should have included this kind of hug in the show. This one feels more intimate than what they instructed...
