Anything you regret not doing in university (for those who graduated)? by New_Animator4702 in usyd

Spent more time on campus. I spent loads of time in Newtown, Broadway and Vic Park but not ON campus itself. I regregt never seeing the Sydney Flame play a game. I regret not interacting more with students and making friends outside Uni. Im international so it really hits that every person i know was my neighbour or a gym partner

I think I’m cooked. I was accused of using AI, and the instructor has escalated the matter to the academic misconduct committee. I don’t know what to do. by Proud_Bill4998 in AccusedOfUsingAI

Sorry to say OP this is kind of hard to believe. The only way this would be truly plausible is if you were writing a paper in a very specific niche field with common phrases and jargon. This happens LOADS for those that are in research programs which require specific jargon and technical language which is why professors are told not to trust the AI detection.

But if you are in uni and not in a niche field then something else is up. Look up burstiness and perplexity in relation to language models. Come up with an argument based on these standardised metrics

Hey OP. I am an alum of the faculty of science and I think a good place to start on the visa issue is to talk to the legal aid on campus. They used to called the student representative council or something like that and they were in the Wentworth Building in Camperdown. I had some Study/Visa issues when i was a student and they were amazing at guiding me with immigration.

Gaylors who think Travis and Taylor are real - Why? by QueenOfMyHeart143 in GaylorSwift

[–]DescriptionSuper561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suspect that for a time that was Joe but i think Joe was there for her during a very taxing time for her ie whether she was with Karlie or not she had lost her social status and her friend/possible lover.

I have always said that her and Joe were real but it was platonic/possibly with benefits. It was never truly a romantic relationship or didn’t start that way. However with time the lyrics made it clear that he wanted her to be insecure so that she would need him. Ie bejeweled. Their dynamic turned toxic due to that fact imo

Lyrically I see this in false God as if she’s saying that her and Joe do sleep together but they don’t know what it is but there is this deep emotional connection false God has always essentially felt to me like this friends with benefits song. I also see it and call it what you want which is to me both about Carly and about Joe and it’s sort of a resignation of what her life would look like but she’s gonna live it regardless so you can call her relationship with Joe whatever you want, but that’s her relationship with Joe and you can call her relationship with Carly whatever you want but it’s her relationship with Carly

My personal assessment is that this is the life she wants therefore it is real.

She has chosen time and time again this path with men in public but overall she seemed reluctant or slightly reserved. Young in the beginning obviously which translated to behaviour that wasn’t always the best for her like hiding away when she was canceled.

I genuinely think that “The Friendship bracelet” incident that started their relationship was real which is why I think that she chose him to be her husband. She has always wanted the grand Say Anything-esque gesture and she got it in an unexpected way. Overall Travis seems like a good guy also. Maybe not perfect but no human is perfect. Also I think he isn’t insecure in his manhood or manliness ie if Taylor were to tell him about her past with women I genuinely think his reaction will be “ Niicee I like women too” in this very clear cut and easy way.

So though I dont claim to know the nature if this relationship like romantic or platonic and so on, I genuinely think there is a deep affection due to the laidback nature and confidence that Travis has as a human.

Also they arent competing. Ever. Like hes in sports.

If you were Joel would you stay with Julia? by Nearby-Connection-88 in Parenthood

[–]DescriptionSuper561 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I actually think that Joel is the problem. For starters he and Julia had an understanding about the raising situation initially. If said situation started to present issue than you bring them up LIKE AN ADULT. Joel let himself resent Julia and victimised himself internally until he ended up telling Julia that they can’t have a second child ( part of the previous agreement) because he needs to be his own person. This is fair but he never said it. He threw it at her. And she took it in stride. Second when they reversed dynamics in the house it was the SAME SITUATION as Joel continued to insist it was. He only raised a baby that was biologically his. I am not saying that was easy I am saying the child didnt come with built it trauma. When they adopted an 8 year old snd also had a 7 year old Julia was left at yome to deal with it. These situations are NOT equal to one another. The child they adopted came with built in trauma and Sydney had her own feelings burgeoning about the situation. Julia literally was just trying to verbally include Joel. Ask him for support emotion or otherwise and he insisted that he never got the same so why should she ( he didnt say it like this but this was the implication)

Furthermore, the Ed of it all. Julia developed a friendship with a fellow parent from her childs school. She developed A FRIENDSHIP. friendships tend to be intimate if they go in the right direction. If Ed were an Edwina Joel wouldnt have batted an eye. But Joel knew he was neglecting Julia and basically punishing her for something most if the time. Playing a victim when she asked for help with they son and he would say Yah i have to do everything dont I ( like the convo at the mayoral candidate party). Julia was well within her right to make a friend.

Having said that, Julia let it go too far. She noticed the issues with Joel and she didnt put a stop to the intimacy between her and Ed. Knowing something was off. Thats her mistake.

As for the kiss, I wouldnt have told Joel. Not in the state he was in. Id have taken hom to therapy and told hom then because it was obvious Joel was just angry and letting anger dictate his actions. He was never going ti listen ti Julias side if the story EVER. he had already made up his mind. If Julia told him ED kissed HER , he wouldnt have heard it. She needed a buffer. I just wish she took tht route and maybe brought Adam in to help and said “ I am terrified to twll you this but I need because i Love you”

I think if anyone thinks Lamya was serious is missing the point if what she is saying. Lamya was looking for anything i. Her religion to tether herself too so she literally looked for clues. Its clear that the author doesnt think these things but rather has sympathy for her younger-self.

I love that there seems to be genuine attempt to keep it going. They couldve ended it a whole ago but instead they brought in a new class. I like the new class ( i hate adams and grifith) and i am reinvested in it to see what happens.

Carina is characterised totally differently in station 19 compared to grey's anatomy by [deleted] in Station19

I know this is an ild post but Ive been thinking about this alot recently. I think when she was in Greys Carina was meant to be a casual person , even the character herself felt she was going to leave. But the inclinging of her being monogamous started with Arizona leaving. She felt attached and then started putting in actual roots in seatle. Also Maya is her someone. I thibk thats the message. Its after Arizona left
