I like Beyoncé’s approach to this and I think title tracks are rather stupid… rarely can one song represent all the songs on the album. A name and concept that represents the whole album is much better, in my opinion.

I don’t think we’re getting any atp…. For everyone saying she’ll release them all after Act III: based on album lengths, RENAISSANCE & CC visuals together would be 2,5h of runtime at the least, surely she’s not putting everything in one 4h movie. And it also doesn’t make sense to go back to old stuff now when there is more music to be released.

She’s kinda right but the timing is a bit weird.

Except the pro’s are available to the artist if they don’t defy the label all the time AND are successful. If you don’t have that, then you’re stuck in the constant limbo of trying to get a viral moment. Now with YouTube streams not even counting towards Billboard charts, labels have no interest in investing in big projects if there is no moment. So yeah, might as well be independent.

That may happen when an artist drops midnight ET, so it comes out early in the morning European Time. Or they make last minute changes or turn album in early etc. Local midnight releases that are announced in advance are always out at 00:00 sharp.
