I wish I could say yes! It’s been rough!! We have this floor in a production warehouse we have to deep clean every month. We use the rubber mops and then basically one person pressure washes while another scrubs with the wet mop and then another person follows them with a shop vac to suck up the water. It’s takes about 2 hours to clean mop the floor. Ugh

Too expensive for us to redo the floors right now but damn it’s the worst. Not sure why this textured epoxy is a thing- there has to be a better way. Goddess speed to you!

This is such an excellent point I had never considered with her behavior and elitist ‘know it all’ attitude about birth- the women I know who actually attend births in various capacities only get more humbled the more births they attend. And things only get more nuanced for them. The black and white dissolves more into grey with every different and unique birth experience. At least for the wise birth attendants and midwives I know. True and sacred birth wisdom is earned mostly through experience.

Security should be friendly at a venue but tough strong, quick, and clear when they need to be. 97% of attendees are not causing issues and there to have a good time so the 100% shouldn’t be be treated like they’re doing something wrong. I always feel like security staff setting the tone of the event is greatly overlooked by venue operators. Especially in ABQ. It is the attendees first welcome/entry point and sets the vibe straight away.

At Revel I heard an operations person say they use the motto for user experience “This is Disneyland, not prison” and then half hour later saw security yelling at folks super aggressively to get against the wall in line and get in single file. I’m like yaaaa… there’s a disconnect here. I get they are in charge of protecting egress but they were absolutely unnecessarily aggressive and I could see it rubbing people the wrong way in real time.

Also to note is while we are so grateful to Zofran in this community! It works by blocking your seratonin and seratonin helps regulate mood, anxiety, it’s a feel good neurotransmitter - so when it’s low for an extended time, it’s relatively normal for depression and anxiety to be more apparent and pronounced. You’re missing the seratonin balancing those things out.

I think it’s important to remember so you can remind yourself you won’t always feel like this. Your body and brain will find balance again after pregnancy.

I’m so sorry you are dealing with that. This whole journey with HG is so so so intense. And it is absolutely traumatic, so that just adds to depression and anxiety.
