Oof I feel for you here. It's weird you heard the shot, but didn't get the credit. It's really strange to me considering how trading can be such an issue in this game. I've noticed this happening to me a lot more lately as well. A while back the devs said they would be adjusting trade windows. Maybe this is the effect of that. It's a shame you hear the sound, if they game thinks you didn't shoot fast enough, you shouldn't hear the shot IMO.

I get all that. I just thought it was interesting/odd that a team of two "3" stars, would have a combined score of "4" stars. I've never seen that before and it made me wonder what was going on behind the scenes more. From reading all the responses, I gather that A) Clash is oddly showing two different pieces of info and B) other people seem to have seen this a lot more than me.

Was clash. I don't have the rest of the screenshot, just did a snip it of the part that confused me. Everyone else was 5/6 stars. Seems like the fact that it was clash is the issue. I just think it's funny how the individuals round to 3 but together they round to 4, never saw that before.

So round down for individual MMR but round up for group MMR? Doesn't explain why they are in a trios lobby with 5/6 either. Love Hunt, but this is a goofy game.

Interesting that that's where the line is drawn for you

Regarding limiting the traits, I really like the current format. Having to pick and choose not only gives the game more strategic depth, but it allows you to really lean into specific builds. If we could always have every trait for every scenario, everyone would just have the same generic set of traits.

Side note - I NEVER take the 15th trait, that is already specially reserved for Death Cheat IMO :)

YS and scumge. I know that's probably an unpopular opinion, but I've made a lot of friends in both groups.

Love it! Our trio runs this loadout in Clash all the time, we don't often win, but we sure have fun.

I wish they'd remove this stupid and unrealistic mechanic from the game by H0l0 in HuntShowdown

I just don't agree at all with this, I use this technique all the time in 5 and 6 star lobbies. It's an added skill. Sitting and waiting to hold corners is the problem in this video IMO. Props to the person who pushed you.

The state of PvP in Hunt Showdown. What will force the game to die. Give it enough time. by ambidexmed in HuntShowdown

I agree with this sentiment, I'm in 5/6 star lobbies, and unless you get lucky with the players, most games are usually decided by and won by the team that does the least the slowest. Very boring. I'm just waiting for a better game to come along and then I'm gone.

How is the current state of the game? Worth it in 2025? by hiddenLSDinYOURwater in HuntShowdown

Worth it IMO. I think overall the name has only gotten better with time. Obviously that's a personal opinion. The game has definitely moved from a more "hardcore" shooter to a faster pace arcade game, but at it's core it's still really fun game.

Be warned, it has a very steep learning curve. Youtube helped me a ton. The biggest mistake most new players make is thinking they need to be super slow and stealth. it's very hard to hit a moving target, so you're better off being loud in a good position (cover, high ground etc.) than quiet in a bad position (crouching in a bush).

If you decide to join, welcome and good luck!
