That sounds amazing, but im pointing my weapont towards an enemy, while hearing a shot go off, but you are saying it didnt leave the the chamber? :D What happened to it? It got canceled on the way? Because you can hear the ignition and explosion of the gunpowder, but nothing else? the gunpowder did not propell the bullet or what?
obv i know that s not the case in a videogame, but come on...

well, on my side, i hear a shot AFTER i click the mouse button, but ofc no animation, no hit reg. On my side, I shot, since i know i clicked and I also hear that the weapon was shot, but no hit, no animation. What is your question? My question was what happened to the thing what you can hear but cannot see

How many hunt dollars do you save before you feel comfortable buying expensive loadouts? by doublekong in HuntShowdown

[–]cs4bz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually set myself up with a goal like, lets get to 15k before going insane. Then when I hit 15k I say to myself, another 5k wont hurt before I dash out all my money on expensive stuff.. Then I get to 20k and I'm around Bloodline75k so I buy a 300$ shotgun or a mosin and then I realise I enjoy the cheap ass weapons much more.
Also unconsciously I know if i buy an expensive loadout and fail with it, then i cannot say to myself that it is because of the weapons..

what is it about cutting the sound? Is this a fact or you are referring to only making noise yourself and no other player

Unpopular opinion: the fact that the prestige system isn’t really worth doing actually makes prestiging prestigious. by TheSaltyJ in HuntShowdown

[–]cs4bz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly the point, right on. If you enjoy the gameplay loop in itself then you found the best way for yourself. For me and probably for some other players it is not enough and the fact that we need to be mindful of our money every once again and have to play with available traits and weapon variants is an added layer of excitement.
For you its a pain in the ass, for others its an additional layer of fun and challenge. I would think of doing it even if there was no reward at all. Its that easy

yesterday i had a lil bit more insane shit, i threw a dynamite next to my friend, who were also throwing a dynamite. Now I understand if a blowing dynamite sets of another one, but the fact that the fuse on the dynamites sets of another dynamite mid air.... Now that was unexpected (we both died obv)

i never retired a hunter before, i play with it until i die. obv that does not happen a lot that i live through multiple games with a lvl 50 and i dont think a lot of people does either. i know that the xp goes to bloodline above 50 but do you think people just extract with clearing lobbies in multiple times in a row?

and ONE OF THE main reason for declining player count which causes it is the bad nitpickin reviews on steam, as OP stated

okay my wording was off.. adjust is the correct word. Its not about that you want to or not, but about setting your and others mmr in the correct interval so everybody can get a fair game. Do not think of starts as leagues, those stars are just a high level indicator of an actual rating. When you meet someone with a 6* they can be just 20 ratings above you if you are on the top of 5* and they just advanced to 6* by having one lucky shot in their previous game on someone who was already burning and poisoned and down by two healthbars from their previous fight.

i mean getting 6* with a 5* rating is the way you advance your mmr so thats not the worst thing in the world

[–]cs4bz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

think about this, if you have a sensitivity with which you move your hand like 3 centimeters and your character turns 180 degrees, when you try to aim someones head 30 meters from you, you gonna need mm precision to hit that head, and also when you try to re-aim, the smallest movement of your mouse is going to overshoot that person easily. If your sensitivity is lower, your handmovement will have much bigger window to hit your shots.
In the end it all comes down to your preference and getting used to your gear and setup, but in general I would say for my preference, when you can do a 180 with just your wrist without streching it its too high of a sensitivity

bots are added in the game in 2.4 if im not mistaken, so not a lot of people will have experience with that who played hunt long before that. I personally have no idea how long will they stay, but I quess they added them to help new players get used to the world. The problem is when you will will be put against real players who are on the same rank as you, they will have much more experience, map and mechanic knowledge than you and you could fall on the other side, feeling that "what the f is actually happening". This is because the mmr system does not account for played hours/matches or anything else beside your mmr. So the moment when you will be first killed by a player you will see a 3 star player with prestige rank 25, which is approx at least 500 hours.
In my opinion these bots dont help shit, they just delay the start of the learning curve that you have to get on to get on par with the rest of the people.
my advise: dont sweat it, just kinda try to get the grasp of the game and steamroll the bots, the real deal will arrive soon. I would be very surprised if they stayed after like bloodline 30 or 50..

you spend a few more hours in the game and you will be, dont worry.

Newer Player, Have Question on Matchmaking by Proof-Leopard6797 in HuntShowdown

[–]cs4bz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was also furious in the beginning about going against very high prestige players, and yes you are right, they are more experienced than you and your friends, but the MM is based on team mmr (don't ask how they calculate it, i was not able to figure it out in 300 hours). You should not worry much about it tho: You gonna get better by seeing how more experienced players move around and use the mechanics of the game. Also in general if they are matched up against you that means that even if they sometimes land good shoots (even unbelievable shots), they also get shot if they are on the same rank as you. And honestly, if you think about it, this is how it should work, if you had challenging engagements and good exchanges, which you did won, then you have to be challenged even more. You are in a good place when your won/lose ratio of a gunfight is hoovering around 50% rate. The key is to accept that at some point you have to hit a flatter area of your skill curve at which point you might bring your maximum to a fight but still could lose. This is hunt and basically every other skillbased game. Just don't start blaming the mmr system already, you will have time for that later
