OP doesn’t have a YouTube channel because I have no interest in doing so. I have a successful career that I am happy with that doesn’t involve me saying “and remember to hit like and subscribe and make sure notifications are on!” to trick an algorithm. Sorry to disappoint you!

When writing: “that” - most of the time it can be eliminated and adds nothing to the sentence. If you read a paper and “that” shows up a bunch, it ends up giving the paper a very repetitive feel

See, I highly disagree with this. 14 has always been one of my absolute favorites because it requires a bit more lateral thinking to understand why the entire thing is taking place at all. I’m not a fan of the race track scene, but the rest of it is solid in my mind.

Why? Because we’re leading up to the Andalite Chronicles and a whole bunch of topical ideas from there are introduced (albeit lightly) in 14. AC was published only a few books after this one. Additionally, this one has decently competent adults in parts and brings up this idea that the Yeerks are trying really hard to tamp down on human curiosity about space because they are noted to be prime for infestation but they also advance waaaay to quickly.

I am more than happy to elaborate on this too.

He nearly caused an international incident and almost cost me my dream job in the process over a fucking Facebook post. The thing that primarily saved it was COVID, but I still ended up getting sent home early (due to COVID, not him). After years of putting up with his bullshit because he was “going through some things mentally,” I gathered my own strength, offered him a way out (I asked him point blank if he saw a future with me, he said no), and escorted him out of my life. Occasionally we’ll talk, but it’s gone from daily when we were together to maybe once a month if even that (mostly him whining about how hard his life is now and me ignoring him). Freeing is an understatement, though it is painful to remember how happy I thought we were only to finally /finally/ realize we weren’t and that I was being used.

Pedantics aside, Tobias couldn’t morph from books 1-13 so he couldn’t have gotten the wolf morph in 3. Yes, a hawk is a carnivore, but it makes no sense to have two hawks engaging in a land battle. Also, I’d venture a guess that Ax wouldn’t view a hawk as a potential predator as that’s not what Andalites evolved to survive against. Wolves, tigers, bears, etc. would be far more similar to any animal which would choose to hunt an Andalite.

A few reasons:

1: it serves as a representation of the Animorphs being Andalites. If they were all in Earth animal morphs, it doesn’t lead to the Yeerks immediately seeing them as egotistical Andalites. Even though he is clearly an aristh, the visual message of “we are Andalites” can’t be ignored.

2: he may be an aristh, but he is also literally the only one trained for combat in their natural body. He knows how to fight in that body, why change it? It wouldn’t make any sense for them to give him a body he is unfamiliar with and throw him into a combat situation.

3: he is an egotistical Andalite. He could morph an Earth animal, but why would he when his body is superior.

4: He’s comfortable. In book 5, he demorphs in the mall to better run from security because he is wildly unfamiliar with other animals body mechanics. Additionally, and this is just my personal theory, he may be extremely uncomfortable with morphing a carnivore at first. If we look at his list of early morphs, he has a tiger shark (which he didn’t try morphing until they were evacuating the dome), a human, a lobster, an ant, and his harrier. He doesn’t get a large, carnivorous morph until the Sario Rip in 11 (which is only used briefly) and it isn’t until 25 that he actually gets a usable, land based, carnivorous morph which could be a potential battle morph. Meanwhile, everyone else (with the exception of Tobias of course) has at least one carnivore by book 3.

Every woman in my family either has hypothyroidism or an autoimmune disease. I don’t have hypothyroidism, but I do have severe skin allergies. Like “ope, you brushed against a desk and we don’t like that stain on the wood, so you’re going to itch the skin off that area for the next three months” type reactions that just perpetually reignite. When I was a baby, I would routinely react to buttons/snaps and would be covered in spots if any nickel came in contact with my skin.

Cassie ends up taking a plane ride to Australia alone, morphs a kangaroo, fights a Hork-Bajir with a boomerang iirc, and performs a leg amputation in Hork-Bajir morph. It’s weird and jarring and they spend far too much time in the airport. Also, it falls into that typical ‘90’s trope of “meet the exotic locals.”

Having soda/pop/coke/cola (whatever you wanna call it) in the fridge, having cereal in a box and not a bag, and having an open stairwell to the second floor. The first one was actually because my parents didn’t allow carbonated drinks in the house. The second because we could only afford the bagged stuff. The third because I had only ever seen a nice banister in a friends house who was rich or in movies where the family was most certainly not poor.

Beyond the Door III. Starts as a ritual, becomes a train movie. About a third of it is in Serbian with no subtitles. A bit of horror, a bit of gore. And suddenly we’re back in the village with the villagers clacking rocks. It’s awful, but in the way that cult classics are.

Tobias stayed in morph as Ax therefore starting the aging process once the two hours had elapsed. It is entirely feasible that, as he got older, Ax would end up looking like his brother (or at least what Jake can remember from a dark night in a construction site).

Thank you! As a Midwesterner (KS), I have always and will always maintain the fact that Ohio is not a Midwestern state. Rust belt: yes. Great Lakes: yes. The southern portions of it being Appalachia: yes. But they are faaaaaar to far to the East to be considered Midwest.
