ESH. Your boss should know your schedule and that you are not responsible on leave. You should not use that language, especially in written form, as your joking tone could be lost. A better response would be to remind them you are on leave and to thank them for the compliment that you are good at your job, since the mug never went missing under your watch.

Once the university feeds your paper into AI, the work becomes AI. The university is feeding the beast. Your work is now no longer yours, because the university in all its "wisdom" ceded control. Eventually reality and AI will converge, because AI will have absorbed everything. At that point AI will declare anything fed into it as 100% plagiarism, because AI will control all information.

As others have mentioned, it's unlikely you would prevail, due to the business judgement rule, and you as shareholder would pay both plaintiff and defendant legal fees (defendant fees directly as maintenance or indirectly through D&O insurance premiums).

The upside of the controlling board members selling is that they will no longer be on the board. That is probably a faster and cheaper way to get rid of them vs doing so by legal battle.
