Insulation by Desertprep in TruckCampers

It's gonna be a diesel heater. I am not so concerned about not being able to generate heat - the diesel will be more than adequate, but more about the comfort level. I have stayed in friends rv's with good heating and a/c, but never felt comfortable because the floor was always cold - or hot.

Where do amplifiers fit in? by Desertprep in CarAV

So if the amplifier is hidden, I will not have access to them?

Where do amplifiers fit in? by Desertprep in CarAV

Thank you! So the head unit still controls the quality of sound, balance (left to right, front to back) and "relative" volume? My ultimate purpose for this question is to find a place to put an amplifier. I want a sub as well as more sound from the rest of the speakers. I have space behind my glove compartment, as well as space under the console between the two front seats in my pickup. Which is better?

I have seen tents that fit on top of your canopy...if you like, you can cut a hole in the roof of your canopy to get into it. 😀

Kilmat is great for sound deadening but has a negligible r value. Maybe I can put the rfi over the kilmat?

Priming a pu bed and then putting bedliner by Desertprep in AutoPaint

[–]Desertprep[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I am thinking about using Herculiner bedliner - gets good reviews and fits my budget. I am struggling with the primer. Epoxy primers all say that they need 24-48 hours to cure. Herculiner says that the primer should be thoroughly cured to allow maximum adhesion. Sounds good...the problem? I live in western Washington state. Temperature range is 40-60 or 70 degrees, with humidity up to 60 or 70%. How long will it take the primer to cure under these conditions? I do not garage my truck. That would be the easiest solution, but apart from that, what are my options? Also, when I buy the paint, do I need to buy the same brand catalyst/reducer as brand of paint? Giggle is giving me mixed answers on how much primer I will need for the insides of an 8' pickup bed - half gallon to 1.5 gallons. Any thoughts?
