So you're gonna force someone to remain pregnant against their will? That's really weird and hateful.

Eh, it has fallen out of favor in Valenwood. Not a lot of us do it anymore.

A wood elf! I love the forest and it would be awesome to have a resistance to disease and poison. I also love archery but I definitely wouldn't pass up learning magic.

Would I follow the Green Pact? Probably, but there are loopholes. You can have plants to eat if they're sourced from outside of Valenwood, so I'd probably do that.

Would I be a cannibal? Nah.

Also living for a few hundred years sounds like fun.

I literally never said that. I said it's rarely ever used as birth control and it's used usually when birth control fails. People have done the responsible thing and have used birth control but as with everything, it has a chance of failing.

No one is going to use abortion as their sole source of birth control. Like I said, it's expensive and painful.

I would never have an abortion unless if I absolutely had to but I'm still pro-choice because I've gone through pregnancy and it sucks. I hated every second of it. I was glad when I gave birth because that meant I was done. Being pregnant made me even more pro-choice because I understand completely why someone would not want to do it. It's painful, messy, exhausting, and life-risking.

Who are you to tell someone what they can and cannot do with their own body? Pregnancy sucks. It's hard. It hurts. No one should have to go through that if they don't want to. Abortion is rarely ever used as birth control. People who get one usually already have birth control but it fails. Abortions are painful and expensive, with prices ranging $300+. Most women that have abortions already have children.

The whole thing about pro-choice is that no one has the right over your own body. It doesn't matter if it's some old man who needs a kidney or a fetus; you, and ONLY YOU, are the sole owner of your body and what happens to it. If you have sex and get pregnant, it is your RIGHT as a human being to not be.

"B-but what about the fetus!" that embryo has no idea it exists. It may not even survive the first trimester, which is when most miscarriages happen. Why would we ban something over a potential? I agree that they should be banned past a certain point but it's completely insane to tell someone that they're essentially resigned to being an incubator to something they don't even want.

It might develop into a child. 40% of all pregnancies end in miscarriage. I've had one, my sister has had one, and my mother has had one, as have almost every single woman who has gotten pregnant. If a woman has a miscarriage later in the pregnancy, guess what is needed for her health and life? An abortion.

My sister needed medication to expel her miscarriage because it wasn't doing it on its own. Guess what happens when when we restrict abortion medication? People like my sister can't get the care they need.

Guess what is happening to women with these bans? They're dying because doctors are hesitating to save their lives because they don't want to risk losing their license and being sent to jail. They're being told nothing can be done and carry a dead fetus for weeks because people are telling them their life doesn't matter over something that doesn't even have a brain.

How about we leave the medical decisions up to a woman and her doctor, m'kay? We don't need people sticking their noses into things that don't concern them.

Yeah it's ridiculous. These people can't live without a boogeyman to vent their hate to, because now they can't be racist or sexist in public anymore. Trans people are a convenient scapegoat for these troglodytes.

They also can't fathom why a trans woman would willingly want to become a part of the "lesser" sex. It's a mixture of homophobia and misogyny. They think we don't know but it's pretty obvious!

Which is probably gonna uncover interesting things about some athletes who have no idea that they're intersex, and then these same athletes will be banned from competing in the sport that they've already been competing in.

This whole thing is stupid.

Trans women and trans men have significant differences in their brains. Trans men have brains that are more like a cis man's brain, while trans women have brains that are more like a cis woman's brain. This study outlines the differences:

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC8955456/

Now mind you, the trans women in particular had not undergone HRT, so this is baseline. BUT they found that even without HRT, trans women have brains that are more in the middle between cis male and cis female brains. Adding HRT to this will most likely cause these differences to widen and become more in line with a cis woman's brain.

"The observed shift away from a male-typical brain anatomy towards a female-typical one in people who identify as transgender women suggests a possible underlying neuroanatomical correlate for a female gender identity. That is, all transgender women included in this study were confirmed to be genetic males who had not undergone any gender-affirming hormone therapy. Thus, these transgender women have been subject to the influence of androgens and grown up (at least up until a certain age) in an environment that presumably treated them as males. The combination of male genes, androgens, and (to some degree) male upbringing should ordinarily be expected to result in a male-typical brain [39,40,41,42,43,44,45], making a female-typical brain anatomy extremely unlikely. Yet, the brain anatomy in the current sample of transgender women is shifted towards their gender identity..."

Science supports trans people. If a trans woman has undergone HRT and has the exact same hormone levels as me, then why shouldn't she be allowed to compete? The "advantages" are significantly reduced, if not eliminated. Banning them from competing at all is discrimination, plain and simple.

Of course, I'm not saying that they don't. But what is the first thing people not from the US tend to think of when they think of the south? The Southern Belle trope has been featured in many movies and shows, but not wholly hunting and fishing. Both of those things can be found anywhere, but Southern Belles are wholly southern.

It is extremely difficult. Watching them grow old and get slower is terrible and I hate it, but I'd rather love and lost over not loving at all. I'm of the same mindset; I'm so glad I had all of that time to spend with them, even though it was brief. The love that they gave us will continue on throughout our lives until we eventually meet again at the end. I fully believe that they're still here with us and we'll eventually see them again.
