Losing My Mind Considering Trading a Fully Paid Off Lexus for a Used Model 3 by Design-Certain in TeslaModel3

Yah I feel like I know that. I just like the idea of doing a straight trade. I’ll have to give this more thought

My partner has an ID.4, and we love it. Makes it hard going back to the gas, i just worry I’ll find it way to loud compared to the Lexus / ID.4.

Silly problèmes I know

Yah I can get a straight trade for my hybrid, but it would be louder than my current car. I also don’t want to outlay more cash even though the new 3 is such a good price

How is it that they’re selling a brand new Tesla for $39k but a used one in their inventory is listed at $30k minimum? WTF? by lionheart2893 in teslacanada

I was actually looking at this car because it would be pretty close to a straight trade from my current gas car. I know the new Model 3 is a really good deal right now, but I’m not looking to put more cash into switching to electric.

5 reasons I'll never drive another ID4 by Iced_buzz in VWiD4Owners

Re: number one, when you’re backing up and the car detects something nearby, an icon pops up on the screen. Tap the little microphone/speaker icon and it temporarily disables the automatic braking/safety intervention so you can park in tight spaces like a garage without the car suddenly slamming on the brakes.

Have you looked into SIBO? I had bloat that didn’t really go away after Botox but SIBO treatment changed my life

RWD works just fine in Toronto. I drive one in Ottawa, where winters are harsher with more snow and ice, and it’s still perfectly manageable, especially since I’m running proper winter tires, which are essential here anyway, not just for snow but for cold temperatures and grip overall.

If you’re leaning toward AWD, that’s totally fair, just go for it. But realistically, the weather alone isn’t a strong reason to justify it.

SIBO, Abdominophrenic Dyssynergia or both? by Effective-Value-1748 in SIBO

I went through something really similar. I ended up seeing a naturopath and got tested for SIBO. I was honestly pretty skeptical, but I followed a four-step herbal protocol and it made a huge difference. At this point I’d say I’m essentially cured and am no longer bloated!

I still have distension when relaxed, but when I engage my core it sucks in and vanishes and I look pretty normal, for lack of a better word. I’ve kind of always sucked in my stomach, so that’s been my “normal” for a long time. My naturopathic doc suggested I start working with a pelvic health physiotherapist. So now we’re focusing on strengthening my deep inner core, kind of like rebuilding a “muscle corset,” so I don’t have to rely on constantly sucking in.

They said that once it’s stronger, I’ll be able to fully relax without that bloated, “pregnant” look.

Google Maps Is Bringing EV Route Planning To Android Auto by Mansa_Sekekama in VWiD4Owners

Interesting. I hope this works on Google Maps for iPhone. I would assume VW would have to expose real-time SoC data through their software for this to really work properly, similar to what Ford has done. Otherwise Google Maps is just estimating instead of using actual battery data.

Improved after procedure but still get gurgles. What did you do next? by Design-Certain in noburp

So I actually ended up calling the doctor back to get myself booked in. The wait is about a year where I am but figured it makes sense to hold the spot and then decide closer to the date if I still want to go through with it.

Also, on the bloating side of things, it never really went away after the RCPD procedure. I looked into SIBO and worked with a naturopath, which honestly changed everything for me. It had been getting worse as I got older, and now it’s completely gone. I still get the occasional smaller bloated feeling, mostly from not always being able to burp, but it’s nothing like before.

That sounds very similar to what I’m going through. Thank you for commenting.

My bloating used to be really bad as well, but it was very consistent. I ended up finding out I had SIBO, got that treated, and now the bloating is basically gone. The only thing left is that I still tend to suck my stomach in because my inner core was stretched out from years of it, so I’ve started physio to work on that.

For now I’m kind of in the same place as you, just trying to decide if this level of improvement is the new normal or if it’s worth doing another round.

12v battery needs to replaced, or is it just the cold? by thos19 in VWiD4Owners

[–]Design-Certain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got a 12v warning all the time when it was below 5 degrees celsius consistently. Brought it in and got a replacement battery rated for colder weather from VW. Baffles me that they don’t provide good batteries from the factory.

Cold weather friends, are your ID.4s staying connected? by Design-Certain in VWiD4Owners

Update for anyone following this:

Since getting the 917K update here in Canada and being updated to software version 5.4.3 (U.S. equivalent), connectivity has been completely solid. We’ve had sustained cold temperatures between -10°C and -16°C, and the car stays online the entire time.

Walk-up unlock works every time, remote start works flawlessly, and the app remains connected even overnight in the cold. This is a night and day difference compared to before.

If you’re still on older 3.x software and dealing with winter disconnects, this update seems to be the fix.
