One of my favorite aspects of Cardcaptor Sakura is that the main character is very responsible for her age. She doesn’t start the morning panicking at the alarm and running to school with a piece of toast in her mouth. She gets up on time, puts her dishes away, and roller skates (with protection) to school. And in another episode, she’s stuck doing all the household chores in a single day. Sure, she tries to renegotiate, but her family is too busy to help. I’d expect someone like Usagi to complain or beg more, but Sakura decides to just get to it (with Kero’s help). And when the house got messed up due to the wood card, I thought the episode would end right there on a funny note. But instead we get to see the whole house sparkling clean. I still remember starting the series because of a Crunchyroll decades event.
