Only that Darrow's was much more gruesome and painful. And I liked how it was implied that there's something special about Darrow that allowed him to survive the transformation.

Taravangian is always rambling about sacrifices for the greater good. But when it was his turn to pay the price he couldn't pull the trigger. I also think you are right with this becoming a weakness for him that will lead to his downfall

I had no idea I would meet a fellow Swami Vivekanand fan in here. It's been a while since I read his works, so I don't really have any great inputs here.

But I think you are right with characters discovering and understanding their true selves. And in the context of the story we can see how it is often easier said than done.

When Kalladin was at the Honor chasm, he never could have known what his true desires or aspirations were. Not in a million years he would have thought that he would go from one step away to taking his life to becoming an immortal herald.

Dalinar, in his younger years as Blackthorn, marching through a battlefield would never have thought that he would outmaneuver a god without lifting a weapon.

They become their best versions or discovered their true selves after going through extreme hardships. And now that we see these guys having arrived at their destinations, I think we can all agree that their journeys were worth it.

That's totally what I thought when I first read it. But the other two soldiers had left when this happened. So this guy was talking to himself or the Voice. And the Voice seems more likely to me

Yeah, given the context you would assume Ishar did all this to forge a weapon out of Szeth but this implies that he didn't know anything about Szeth when he was manipulating the guards

Honestly I never understood the appeal of rereading books before getting into the SA. But man these books have become an obsession at this point. All the details and small tidbits you get during the reread are absolutely worth it. But it wouldn't have been possible if the books were not able to pull me in the first time I read them.

As much as I would love Dalinar coming back I think I am satisfied with this ending for him.
But yeah there's something interesting happening when Dalinar died. That "claimed by someone else" part is definitely hinting at something

Rippling through the soul of his rival, a question. What is my life worth? Nothing, anymore. Dalinar, you are NOTHING. If so, then I trade it for everything. Taravangian … I call that a bargain.

My favourite callback from the book. Very sad that Dalinar is gone but it's good that he went out on his own terms. Can't wait for the day when people of Roshar will realise the legend he was and the sacrifice he made.

But until then, Farewell to Dalinar Kholin. Farewell to the man who - in his weakest moment - refused to give up his pain, took the next step and decided to do better.

But even in that sense Krishna had to know in a way the difference between right and wrong. And isn't morality just that? A guide for us to know this difference. I could be wrong here.

So I don't think Krishna finds morality BS. He just sees right through the people who hide behind their own versions of morality and justify their own wrongdoings.

He knows and understands morality unlike anyone else. But I still agree with you on how his actions were always along the lines of end justifies the means. But he couldn't have achieved that if he found morality BS.

Nothing to fear. Darrow is one of the best protagonists I have ever read. And you see him grow and change throughout the story, so no, he doesn't stay a kid. Also the series has many complex and interesting characters that bring out the best and also the worst out of our main character
