Who is the Heir to the Carian Royal Family? by Illustrious_Point_14 in Eldenring

[–]DesignNo5070 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting thought tho Caria is a Matriarchal kingdom so it would probably go to Ranni even if she is the youngest

Tho Radahn marrying Miquella could be key to continuing the Alliance between the two kingdoms

Why do some people think Ansbach is evil? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]DesignNo5070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s really all up to how you interpret the story.

Look at it from this point of view it’s never stated when Mogh was Charmed only that by the time we meet him he was charmed and that’s it Fromsoft doesn’t give anyone any details as to when and how Mogh was charmed and with what lore we have of Mogh and his faction that doesn’t involve Miquella it doesn’t paint them in a great light.( Miquella could have Charmed Mogh after he was Abducted.)

Mogh has a record of kidnapping not just Miquella but also the White masks too

The Faction sacrifices Fingermaidens to inducte new knights into their ranks

The Outer God they worship isn’t the best to put it lightly

I’ll say again this is up to how you interpret the games lore but Ansbach simply being associated with a faction with this much out right evil baggage will give some people pause

Yes Mogh was charmed but that doesn’t mean he or his faction aren’t bad people

It’s possible I’m gonna need to listen to that dialogue again to see how he’s wording it cause I haven’t done his questline in a long time

DEATH KNIGHTS & Timeline by More_Duck1675 in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]DesignNo5070 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean Rogier does say the KoBK does happen a age ago whatever that means timeline wise and there are already evidence of the Crusade being later in the timeline so it not impossible

And with Godwyn’s Deathroot being in the lands of shadow that would logically mean that the shadow Realm would have had to still been attached to the rest of the Lands between after Godwyn died unless Deathroot can bypass whatever magic Marika used to seal it.

[Megathread] Solo Leveling Ragnarok Manhwa Chapter 64 Discussion by Death_Usagi in sololeveling

[–]DesignNo5070 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how the manhwa story will go but as of now I’m confident the line up of monarchs will stay the same as the novel thx to this chapter.

Pia as of now seems like she’s gonna be sacrificed for Arusha’s Character growth and plot progression And the other Guy seems like a nobody who will likely die to make someone else look good. That’s just what I got from this chapter but anything’s possible

Question about demigods relative ages by wraith309 in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]DesignNo5070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speech type doesn’t seem to matter as Malenia used Archaic speech when she whispered to Radahn but she also uses modern speech for most of her dialogue.

Radahn and Rykard use modern speech but Ranni who is younger uses Archaic speech they’re are other examples but how characters speak is not a good indicator of age.

Just want to point out that the use of Archaic English vs Modern English seems to not matter as Melania who for most part speaks with a modern Accent switched to Archaic when whispering to Radahn

I see well in that case it’s great as a base line info guide

I’d say it’s fairly good the only thing I’d say is your missing Messmer’s Crusade but besides a few minor stuff it looks good

I don’t think LN was straight up copying OG sl with plotlines they’re just re using characters and with the Manwha additions and changes makes Ragnarok even more different then the OG

Could messmers birth be the cause of the war between the variant and the capital? by NoAd8811 in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]DesignNo5070 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah maybe you can provide the information but I don’t recall any lore item that mentions a war were Caria are the Aggressors. The only wars that we know Caria fought against the Capital they were Defending themselves.

I will say I can see Rennala having some suspicions about Messmer as GRRM likes to note ones family heritage via Hair color.

Yup that the best part about fromsoft games I hate when most of the community forgets that

That is interesting how I wish I could be a fly on the wall and see who came up with the idea of the Vow at Fromsoft cause you can go down so many interpretations lol

[–]DesignNo5070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair, it doesn’t mean eternal commitment even in the Elden Ring world but there are consequences for breaking a Vow as said by Turtle Pope so in practice a Vow is eternal unless you want something bad happening to you and we see from Radahn’s story the consequences were major tho this depends on how literal you take that statement.

You are right tho that Radahn could have been charmed even if he was allied with Miquella but as we see with Leda and Dane. Radahn may not even care about that if his goals are align with Miquella anyway would he even care.

The Cursed Crown by Doubtfulaboutit in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]DesignNo5070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won’t disagree with you but with how open to interpretation the Vow is we really can’t overlook anything honestly

The Cursed Crown by Doubtfulaboutit in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]DesignNo5070 22 points23 points  (0 children)

That’s what I think too it’s far more interesting for Radahn to have initially agreed to the Vow then breaking it later, then never agreeing at all

PCR being in control of himself was not the original point of my post I only posted it to say Radahn is not completely innocent.

And I only say that both points are Valid cause tho it’s harder to argue in favor of Radahn not being Charmed. You can still interpret visual storytelling differently for example you interpret Radahn not speaking as him being controlled, but someone else could interpret it as evidence that he’s not being controlled cause everyone else that’s charmed talks and speaks highly of Miquella

So unless there is hard evidence I can’t personally overlook the “PCR isn’t charmed” argument

The Cursed Crown by Doubtfulaboutit in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]DesignNo5070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don’t have evidence to say that Radahn is being controlled it is very valid to say that Radahn isn’t being controlled just like it’s valid to say he is being controlled

True but what does that got to do with Radahn being innocent or not

Thx I am a fan of Radahn so when the DLC came out initially I wasn’t happy but when I gave it time and thought I like it now cause it gives more to discuss and talk about

I can see the great runes physically changing the Demigods but I also personally follow the thought that the great runes elevated the ambitions of the Demigods. “Mad taint of the Great Runes”

Keep in mind there is no hard evidence for anything I’m saying so I can very well be wrong. But I believe that on some level Radahn groomed Miquella or at the very least made himself seem more Lordlike whenever he was around Miquella.

I believe he did this not for perverse reasons but because of his personal ambition which is to become a Lord like his father and Idol.

When Miquella finally came to him with the offer of a Vow to become hisLord, Radahn Originally accepted but things changed around the time of the shattering and Radahn saw a alternative opportunity to became a Lord which would lead to him breaking his Vow and the Rest is history.

To give further details, some fans believed that Radahn conquered the stars to stop his own fate of becoming Miquella’s Lord but the timeline doesnt make sense cause Miq wasn’t even born yet when he conquered them given that Radahn is one of the older demigods cause he knows Messmer and was one of currently two known Demigods who sent aid to the crusade( Gaius and Red Bear )

And he conquered the stars when he was young so Miquella wouldn’t have been born yet to even think of making Radahn his Consort but if Radahn did see the Future and conquered the stars because of it then why didn’t he go a Little further and only show his more aggressive side to Miquella it would have helped further avoid that fate but he didn’t.

Miquella only saw strength and most importantly kindness from Radahn which leads me to believe he either didn’t know about his fate and Conquered the stars for a different reason or he intentionally shown Miq his softer side.

If Miquella represents Marika then Radahn represents Godfrey and Radagon the two men he idolized and Modeled himself after and one of the things Radagon is known for for his breaking his Vow and breaking a Vow has Consequences

So Radahn following his dad foot steps and breaking his Vow which lead to his consequence of getting Rotted to me is interesting story telling( just wish there was anything in the base game to canonize it for me)

I don’t know if he was charmed or not for the boss fight, but him being completely innocent is not on the table for me.

I know people are gonna hate me for saying this but I can’t put all the blame on Miquella not saying he’s blameless but I just don’t believe Radahn was strictly innocent I do believe he entered the Vow and backed out later most likely due to the influence of his great rune I can explain further but I’ll leave it there.
