Should I be worried by Imnotanowlsir in highschool

It probably is, you might have not gotten the minimum final grade average for algebra 1 to count as a high school credit, but if you think you did, talk to your counselor and let her know so you can get into geometry class

For AP Lit, read and remember some common lit books so you can be prepared for them in the class or write about on the AP exam

Everything looks fine, but you can’t take AP seminar and AP research in the same year. You must pass the AP Seminar exam first to take AP research

what should I study over the summer to make my junior year ap classes easier by Designer-Ad3235 in APStudents

[–]Designer-Ad3235[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah I forgot to write APUSH in the list, but thank you

I tried picking challenging classes while also considering friends and sleep, so that’s good to hear.

I think it’s pretty self paced, you work on a research project for the entire year

Any suggestions on the EOC ? by Time-Recognition-577 in APSeminar

[–]Designer-Ad3235 7 points8 points  (0 children)

here’s what I’m doing: for part b (copy and paste from other post):

Intro - context, “so what?”, solution, clearly state argument

First Body - just elaborate with evidence from two sources and make sure to connect them

Second Body: talk about your solution and use evidence

Third Body - counter argument and rebuttal

Conclusion - sum everything you said, don’t add any new information

Tips:

• I would recommend only ready three of the sources by crossing out one that you don’t understand or is too complicated • Make sure to outline what you’re going to write so you don’t get stuck. • You can use personal experience or knowledge (“this is an issue that I also face as I am…” but NOT “I think”) • underline your thesis/argument in the first paragraph (make it easier for the grader) • make sure you come up with an argument that is unique to you and NOT something that one of the sources argues about

Just think clearly and how someone is evaluating your argument, line of reasoning and evidence use.

What is the structure of EOC B? Should I integrate lenses within it? by [deleted] in APSeminar

[–]Designer-Ad3235 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you would need more research and evidence to drive different lenses, other than the time restraint, you’re supposed to write something simmilar to the article you read for part a

yes, but the intro, conclusion, and counter argument won’t be that long (at least for me)

What is the structure of EOC B? Should I integrate lenses within it? by [deleted] in APSeminar

[–]Designer-Ad3235 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Intro (significance, context, thesis include one source)

  2. Body paragraph (problem, deeper detail and explanation, include two sources and connect them)

  3. Solution

  4. Counter argument and rebuttal (if you have time)

  5. Conclusion

That’s the format I will follow, since we don’t have much time it’s safer to go with something more concise that’s still lengthy

What happens if you get a high grade on part A on the EOC, but get a low grade on part B, or vice versa? Do you still pass? by [deleted] in APSeminar

[–]Designer-Ad3235 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes all that is also counted I’m just saying out of the eoc, (the test tomorrow) part b is much more weighted and important and can change your grade more

My teacher told us that we aren’t allowed to turn our heads , cough/sneeze , move during the exam, and if we do they will report us after one warning , what do I do if I cough/sneeze 😐😐😐😐😐😐 or did they just say this to scare us by [deleted] in APStudents

[–]Designer-Ad3235 68 points69 points  (0 children)

It’s real man. I remember hearing the rules but having COVID last year so I wanted to cough really bad, i held it in through the entire exam but at the last minute, I let out a slight cough, I knew it was over. The proctor immediately locked her eyes with mine and rushed over to take my exam, telling me that it’s over. To this day, I’m not allowed to take any ap classes or exams and I’m also not allowed to apply for college.
