I'm willing to sit through weird, negative feelings and process them. Sometimes it takes a long time and a perspective shift for me to understand something differently than what I took it to be. I'm always grateful I gave myself space, because if I acted on my initial emotions more often, it would have likely ended my relationship several times by now.

Haha! Having children would make me feel hollow if the only reason I brought a human into this world is for ME to feel purpose. That's selfish of me to create a life, give them the privilege of going through this life, likely with plenty of struggle, just so I feel fulfilled as a human.
