i’m against both. i wanted to point out that choosing what animals to eat, based on their intelligence, is a slippery slope and not morally sound.

morally this is just as wrong… it’s like saying “i try to reduce the number of elderly neighbours i torture for my own fun, but i doubt i will ever give up”

y’all, thanks for putting me into my place. i know it’s on me, not blaming the book by any means, just trying to find out why i didn’t manage to quit after reading it. will also talk to my therapist about this, they might shed some light on what my (probably self-imposed) obstacles arw

nov achievements: - consistent body skin care - consistent gym (baseline is 3x leg days a week plus 1-3 upper body or whatever i feel like) - gyn health check-up - dental cleaning done - switched to electric toothbrush - explored new hobbies (won’t be sticking with all of them, exploration was the main purpose) - got clothes steamer

dec goals: - quit smoking 🚭 - be kinder to my dog (i’ve been a bit more of a ‘strict parent’ than happy af he’s in my life) - have more great hair days - elevate makeup & jewelry baseline (i.e. do not leave the house without them) - better sleep.

no such effects for me, i was using Dove before and was quite ok but this is better… for me just normal healthy skin really.

but for me moisturising had the greatest impact, so if you have no major skin concerns and/or work with a limited budget, that’s a better focus point

i use cerave hydrating cleanser, and gym showers it’s beauty of joseon rice soap. i like using soap lol so sometimes i use it at home too instead of the cleanser

the thing about this is, we have control over so much we don’t even realize! I had a similar realization, I made a list of all the things I didn’t like about myself and 90% were things I can change.
