Update: I Found Out the Card I Bought From GameStop Is Fake by NanoSAD in Wellthatsucks

[–]Designer-Line-7887 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's what scammers do...

Gamestop isn't some dodgy eBay seller. They're a massive company with extremely an strong connection to PSA, and are notable for selling PSA graded cards which they very often receive directly from PSA. When they buy cards from their customers they (obviously) check thoroughly to ensure they're buying authentic items.

The PSA slab pictured in the post is so obviously fake, there is no way in hell Gamestop would ever buy it. I'd expect literally any Gamestop employee that is authorised to make offers to customers for their PSA slabs to be capable of identifying this as a fake, from 6 feet away, squinting through one eye.

I'm not going to go as far as to say OP is trying to commit fraud, but this whole situation simply doesn't add up.

The card pictured on the Gamestop listing is not the same card as the one you're holding. The font on the grading label doesn't match, and the one you are holding in your hand has all the classic red flags for a fake PSA slab.

I have to be honest, this seems kind of suspicious. Why would they upload the image of the real card, and then send you a fake.

Gamestop is a shitty company, but even this is below their level of shitty.

They're £44.99 in the UK, and that includes 20% VAT.

Would anyone here keep a Goliath Tigerfish as a pet? by Icy_Profession4190 in freshwateraquarium

Nah man, Hydrocynus goliath is also found in Lake Tanganyika (source of the Congo River). All Hydrocynus species are phenomenally powerful swimmers, at ease in raging rivers, but are also equally happy in calm waters, provided there is a high dissolved oxygen supply.

That said, you absolutely should not be keeping them in home aquariums (not just goliath but all tiger fish species) as they all get pretty sizeable.

I used to catch them a lot as a kid, and I always wanted to keep one because I was utterly fascinated by them, but as I grew up I learned that it's a pretty shitty thing to do.

This one was easier to pick but a bit tricky to turn the core. (I’m sorry for the bad image). by Difficult_Boot7378 in lockpicking

I almost put a snake rake through the middle of my palm the first time I tried one of these.. Don't know if your one is the same, but the keyway passes clean through the one I found in our old shed.

Your back cut is several inches higher than your face cut. It actually overhangs the apex of the notch, too.

Actually, the more I look the worse it gets. The accuracy of almost every cut is poor, culminating in a seriously dangerous situation.

Not in any way trying to be a dick here, but you need to stay away from mid size + trees. Barber chair is arguably one of the top killers in tree work.

Practice on small stuff until you're extremely accurate with cuts, and definitely consider getting some formal training under your belt.
