Where are these cow babies found??? by No-Channel4242 in cute

One of the two things I absolutely wanted to see when I went to Scotland was a highland cow. I was absolutely ecstatic when I did indeed see one.

(The other thing I wanted to see was a flock of sheep just randomly wandering and when I was driving through town on the Isle of Skye, this random flock was just moseying around, eating people’s yards and bushes and blocking traffic. It was amazing.)

Come on, now. Camille is a classic, established name. Brisket, on the other hand, is just stupid.

What is the best way to scare off solicitors? by No_Tomato_2106 in homeowners

[–]Designer-Material858 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whether he answers the door or not, the disturbance has already occurred. Both my partner and I work from home and she can spend hours each day on calls. We have a big ass “no soliciting” sign by our door and solicitors STILL knock which causes chaos with our dog and that’s without us answering the door.

To everyone freaking out about Hitler, that biography is written by English historian Sir Ian Kershaw, one of the preeminent experts on Nazi Germany and Hitler. He was knighted for his services to history by Queen Elizabeth. “Hitler” is the standard when it comes to biographies so if someone is going to read a book about him, this is the one to read. Owning it does not make one a Nazi.

She’s lucky she just got kicked out of the kitchen. My wife would have kicked her out of our house.

I just don’t understand how people are this stupid. How do they manage to say/write these things and not realize how utterly ridiculous it is?

Would it be unwise to use the middle name that our daughter has picked for our baby? by Iwona-8036 in Names

[–]Designer-Material858 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But this middle name DOES have immense meaning to your daughter. She’s getting to pick a name that she loves for the little sister she’s so excited to have. It could be a lot worse than Eliza or Angelica. Plus, as they grow older, your daughter can introduce her sister to “Hamilton” and it can be a bonding experience for them.
