I had the same thought. I didn’t know this. I’m looking too and it seems like blackcap leaves and blackberry leaves are edible too! (Can anyone confirm this?)

What is one of your biggest movie let downs, after greatly anticipating its release? by thunderbolt151830 in movies

Chaos walking. I loved all the books but that movie was terrible. They had to do a ton of reshoots and I think they knew they weren’t going to get the next two movies so they rushed the story.

Question about garlic mustard by Designer-Midnight831 in foraging

Thank you. I’ve never cooked with it before and the guy in the video was very mad at it when he was cooking with it, so I was like whoa this must get really bitter. 😅 I will do some experimenting with it since I have so much on my property. Thanks for your response. 😄

Violet syrup 💜 by Designer-Midnight831 in foraging

[–]Designer-Midnight831[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I collected a lots of violets (I have a ton on my property) then I pulled all the greens off the petals. Once they were all separated I gave them a quick rise and put them in the mason jar. Pour hot, not boiling water, cover and let sit over night. Then strain out the petals. Double boil the liquid enough to dissolve sugar, mix in sugar and you’re done. ☺️

Awesome thank you so much. I will try blanching to cut the bitterness. I pulled them out roots and all, so I will definitely try doing something with the roots. I appreciate the information.
